Three months after watching her 2018 eponymous debut album reach 2x Platinum status in the United States (signifying sales of 2 million copies), Brit-born beauty Ella Mai is hoping to do the same with its follow-up.
Sending her fans into a frenzy earlier this week with the official announcement her ‘sophomore era’ had begun (as we reported here), the GRAMMY winner also unveiled news of the project’s first single – ‘DFMU’ (an acronym for ‘don’t f*ck me up’).
“Don’t f*ck me up, don’t let me down / You know I wanna be around / You tuggin’ war with my heart / Didn’t think it’d evеr be so hard / Crazy I’m lettin’ down my guard,” she croons on the chorus of the R&B bop.
Ahead of the premiere of its accompanying music video Friday (January 28) at 9AM PST, look inside to hear ‘DFMU.’
