Ahead of its July 12 premiere, Brandy is leaving few stones unturned in promotion of her new Disney movie ‘Descendants: Rise of Red’ – which sees her slip back into her iconic Cinderella glass slippers over 25 years after first making TV history in the role.

When not taking over Web and print press, the GRAMMY winner was spotted on the TV circuit this week – joining ‘Red’ co-stars Paolo Montalban and Malia Baker at the likes of ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ ‘Access Hollywood,’ ‘E! News,’ and more.

While at the penultimate two outlets, Bran not only dished on ‘Red’ but also fielded questions about her surprise reunion with Monica for the remix of Ariana Grande‘s ‘The Boy is Mine.’

The busiest man in Hollywood returns with his latest movie.

Tyler Perry recruits Meagan Good and Cory Hardrict for the thrilling Drama, ‘Divorce in the Black.’

Perry has been a permanent fixture on our screens since the early 2000s with his portrayal of the iconic character Madea, a tough elderly woman.

A lot has changed since then as Perry has built his empire in Atlanta, becoming the first African-American to outright own a major film production studio.

However, despite all of the success, his motivations and filmmaking ambitions have remained the same, which is to empower women.

Many of his movies have been about his mother and his subconscious desire to empower her and take her from a vulnerable state into a position of power.

This is encapsulated through his latest movie, ‘Divorce in the Black’, a film which follows Ava [Good], a young bank professional who is heartbroken when her abusive husband, Dallas, demands a divorce. Dallas’ malicious actions unravel as Ava gets a chance to find true love with her destined soulmate.

Meagan Good and Cory Hardrict sit down with TGJ to discuss ‘Divorce in the Black’, how the movie will empower its audience, and advice from Tyler Perry.

Kylie Minogue is back with new music. This time around, she has joined forces with fellow pop superstars Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo for the song ‘My Oh My.’

Produced by Steve Mac, the song dropped in the very early hours of July 11. ‘My Oh My’ is complete with a club beat and is otherwise a polished slice of pop music.

Across the song, they sing:

“When you asked / What’s your name? / What’s your sign? / I’m Kylie, it’s Gemini / What’s your drink? Let me buy / You had me when you said hi.”

Oh…honey, honey! Beyonce doesn’t need bodyguard when she has big names like Dolly Parton coming to her defense.

Despite the critical (and commercial) acclaim that helped Bey’s latest album, ‘Cowboy Carter,‘ gallop to the top of the Billboard 200 and Country charts, the project was still greeted by a wave of criticism from the genre’s loyalists – many of whom suggested the music megastar’s line dance to Bluegrass-inspired sounds was “gimmicky.”

Tired of the hoopla, Parton – whose classic ‘Jolene‘ was reimagined by the 42-year-old for ‘Cowboy’ – reiterated her approval of the 2024 take on the timeless tune.
