After scoring a critical touch down for the culture with their epic Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar last Sunday (February 13), Dr. Dre and Eminem have scored re-entries in the Billboard 200’s topmost tier.

R&B bad boys Chris Brown and Trey Songz have had their fair share of woes with the civil and criminal courts over the years, but recently the Virgina-born singers respectively topped headlines for what could be their costliest legal battle yet.

As reported here and here, Brown and Songz are facing separate $20 million lawsuits from women who claim they were sexually assaulted by the ‘Wait’ duo.

And though both have denied the accusations, the lawyer representing the women – Ariel Mitchell – took to press to not only say she has proof the two are lying but also clap back at critics who say the multi-million dollar payout attached to the suits is too high.

As ratings of the Academy Awards plummet year after year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) – in a bid to increase the show’s resonance with social media users – recently announced the introduction of a new way to honor films based on viewer votes.

Called #OscarsFanFavorite. the award (which reportedly isn’t an actual Oscar) is a nod to the popular movies of the year that may have been shut out of the nomination pool of the 24 competitive categories handed out every year.

With the race to the finish line heating up among some of the year’s film favorites, a peek at the polls reveals Amazon Prime’s ‘Cinderella’ may be riding its carriage right to the winner’s circle at the 94th annual edition of the awards ceremony.

This week, From The Vault is back with another bang.

Birthday girl Rihanna’s bopalicious ‘Where Have You Been’ is today’s pick.

Released in 2012 as the fifth single from the singer’s sixth effort ‘Talk That Talk,’ it was helmed by what can only be described as a Pop dream team. With the ever-reliable Ester Dean on songwriting duties, it was produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut, and Calvin Harris.

The release was met with glowing reviews and reached the Top 5 in many countries including the US, the UK, France, and Australia.

Dave Meyers was tasked with directing the song’s video resulting in a home run of a visual. The choreography-heavy affair was a true departure for Ms. Fenty who up to that point relied mostly on beauty shots, high-fashion, and edgy cinematography to bring her catalog to life. Inspired by African and Hindu cultures, it was compared to early 00’s videos by Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.

The resulting clip was nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards, including Best Choreography.

Where had that Rihanna been all our lives, indeed?

With a baby on the way, the Bajan belle’s next musical move probably won’t be coming up anytime soon. With that being said, we sincerely hope that when the time is ripe, THIS RiRi will be the one making a comeback. It’s been clear that when she commits to the cause, she can deliver something super exciting.

In the meantime, we can always fall back on this song, video, and accompanying performances.

Happy birthday, Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty!

The Game is setting the record straight about rumors he told JAY-Z to ‘suck his d**k’ for excluding him from last Sunday’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.

A historic, Hip Hop-heavy affair led by Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige, the halftime event was crowned one of the most memorable showings at the big game yet.

After making headlines earlier this week for reposting a fan’s message that he should’ve been on the legendary lineup, reports surfaced the rapper (born Jayceon Taylor) had some fiery words for JAY-Z (leader of the halftime show’s producer Roc Nation) for his exclusion.

Now, he’s cleaning and clearing up the messiness.  Look inside to see what he said.
