To aid his cause, he took to the stage on the season finale of The Voice to perform the track, which is housed on his chart-topping debut ‘Mind Of Mine.’

The repercussions continue to rain down on Azealia Banks following a series of rants gone wrong.

Furore erupted on Twitter yesterday after the femcee took odd aim at Zayn Malik (for supposedly copying her style). For his troubles she branded him a “f*ggot d*ck rider.”

The anti-Azealia climate escalated when she turned her attention to UK rappers, who she asserted could not rap. Naturally, their clap back reflex was all sorts of real.

As reported, the latter saw her booted from a major British festival she was said to headline.

Now Twitter, the primary vehicle for her volcanic comments, has followed suit.

Another day, another L for rapstress Azealia Banks.

The ‘ATM Jam’ diva, known more for cashing in on publicity for her sharp Twitter rants than her deserving music, strikes again – this time lashing out against ‘Pillow Talk’ wailer Zayn Malik.

Indeed, after slamming the former One Direction singer’s new video ‘Like I Would’ for copying images & scenes from her previous efforts, he quickly clapped back (and his fans along with him).  But, before that beef could cool, the rapstress was embroiled in another tussle – this time with teenage Disney star Skai Jackson.

‘Pillow Talk’ propelled Zayn Malik into the stratosphere as a solo star and now the One Direction break-away aims to seal the deal with ‘Like I Would.’

The high-octane cut is the official second single to be lifted from the pin-up’s debut album ‘Mind Of Mine’ – which topped the charts upon its release in March.

With much still to show and prove, Malik ups his visual ante with the video for ‘Like I Would.’

Lensed by Director X, the clip is not only aesthetically arresting, it sees the often static singer actually…move.

Zayn Malik is certainly making quite the name for himself by his lonesome since departing top-selling band One Direction.

Launching his first single, ‘Pillowtalk,’ to critical and commercial acclaim, the tune ousted fellow Urban Pop heartthrob, Justin Bieber, right out of the top spot on the Hot 100 with its debut.  Granted, the reign was a short one, but nevertheless the tune’s ongoing performance would be indicative of his popularity as a solo star.

The truest test of it came this week, however, as its parent album – ‘Mind of Mine’ – made its way onto shelves.  Quickly crowned a shoo-in for #1 with predictions of 220-250,000 sold its first week, fans were stunned to learn its truest prediction would fall fairly short of that sum.

Now, despite still laying claim to the top position on the refreshed Billboard 200 next week, a full sales week behind him sees the final tally clock even less than the revised prediction…

Just three days after its release, former One Direction beau Zayn Malik is set to see his debut solo album, ‘Mind of Mine,’ head in one direction – up to the top of the Billboard 200.

Indeed, based on the strength of pre-orders alone the album, featuring the #1 hit ‘Pillow Talk,’ ‘It’s You,’ and more, was already forecasted to be the week’s winner before it even hit shelves.  Now, after a weekend of availability, industry analysts are confirming what they believe will be an impressive sales week for the dapper divo.

All roads lead to March 25th (today) for three of today’s most celebrated Urban pop acts – Zayn Malik, K. Michelle, and Anthony Hamilton.

The day has come for Zayn Malik.

Debut solo album ‘Mind Of Mine’ has marched into stores and is poised to sell north of 200,000 copies.

With today’s streaming age in full effect and on-demand plays now a factor in chart placements, the former One Direction singer is harnessing his power in that realm by unveiling the video for promotional song ‘BeFoUr’ (his spelling not ours).

Grittier than previous efforts ‘Pillow Talk’ and ‘It’s You,’ the visual pays aesthetic homage to his British beginnings.
