At just 23-years-old former One Direction star Zayn Malik has lived a storied life that some two or three times his age couldn’t boast.

Now, after teaming up with Dick Wolf to produce a boy band drama for NBC, the ‘Like I Would’ wailer is readying the release of his first autobiography.  Published via Penguin Random House, the book will reportedly see Malik “open up with a collection of thoughts, inspirations, personal stories, notes and drawings, and never-before-seen personal photographs.”

‘Pillow Talk’ may have topped the charts, but Zayn Malik has been all sorts of mute ever since.

The former One Direction member looked to have the music world at his feet upon the release of his #1 debut. However, his promising prospects look to be crumbling under the pressure of performing live.

For much of the year, the 23-year-old has been absent from stage – after cancelling a number of dates due to anxiety.

The latest episode has left fans in Dubai disappointed.

The Pakistani performer Zayn Malik teams up with ‘Gentleman’s Quarterly’ for a fresh shoot and promotional spread this month.

Why? To light the way for his forthcoming studio album and support its predecessor ‘Mind of Mine.’

Despite peaking at #1 on the Billboard 200, the set has been unable to live up to the commercial expectations placed on it by industry observers who’d hoped he’d inherit One Direction‘s unit-moving fanbase.

So, there’s no doubt that the pressure is on Malik to fare much better with his aforementioned sophomore set.

Zayn continues to find his way as a solo artist and has teamed with Snakehips to aid his cause.

The British hitmakers enlisted the former One Direction star for their latest single ‘Cruel,’ which features on their upcoming album. As yet untitled, the project succeeds recent EP ‘All My Friends,’ which yielded the Tinashe assisted hit of the same name.

For Zayn, it comes after the release of debut album ‘Mind of Mine’ and its multi-Platinum lead single ‘Pillow Talk.’

Will Smith isn’t the only member of his family gearing up for a busy week.

For, his son Jaden has unlocked news about the soundtrack for his brand new Netflix TV series ‘The Get Down‘ today before the release of Will’s brand new movie ‘Suicide Squad‘ on Friday.

The show is set in the 70s and tells the tale of Hip-Hop’s birth in the mean streets of New York City.

Its soundtrack, which also features material by Christina Aguilera, seeks to capture the time and support the role Smith is said to have soared in.

Catch the show when it is unlocked by Netflix on August 12th and pick up its supporting sounds on the same day!

Zayn Malik may be averse to fulfilling his performing commitments, but the former One Direction star isn’t squandering all his opportunities.

The ‘Pillow Talk’ singer, who dramatically cancelled his Wembley Stadium performance at the last minute citing “anxiety,” continues his quest for solo stardom by posing for print publication Dazed.

Cutting a dapper and dashing figure on the Collier Schorr lensed shoot, the 23-year-old will need to deploy damage control 101 t0 turn the tide in his favour again.

Zayn Malik solo career seems to have hit an iceberg just months after the dock.

The One Direction star achieved global success with multi-format smash ‘Pillowtalk,’ but has established a reputation of sorts for being promo shy.

Indeed, several high-profile performances were cancelled at the last minute. And today brought with it the most notable.

With thousands of fans waiting on him at London’s Wembley Stadium at the Capital FM Summertime Ball, the 22-year-old issued the following statement.
