Megan Thee Stallion has added another honor to her name.

For, the Houston native was honored by Houston Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee with the 18th congressional district of Texas hero award.

During the ceremony on December 12, Lee revealed that the award is not presented often and that it only goes to those who “exhibit humanity” and have “helped without asking.”

In her acceptance speech, the ‘Hot Girl Summer’ rapper shared that she feels a responsibility to “take care of the city that took care of me” and honored her grandmother who passed.

The award comes mere days after she graduated college (as we reported here).

In response, the ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ performer went to Facebook to address his sarcasm via a sermon on the etiquette of apologizing.

Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Mitski, Bon Iver, Max, and Wrabel.
