The last 48 hours have been a media circus due to Cassie filing a jaw-dropping $30 million lawsuit that alleged her former boss and boyfriend, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, sexually and physically assaulted her several times over the course of their decade-long relationship.

Just a day after sending headlines into a whirlwind with the suit and garnering massive support from fans, women’s rights activists, former Bad Boy labelmates, and more, however, the singer-model (born Cassandra Ventura) stunned with the announcement she and Sean settled the legal matter “amicably.”

While the terms of the settlement have not been disclosed, social media went into overdrive with theories that Combs caved into Ventura’s demands or that she was paid hush money to help quickly put out the media fire.

His attorney, Ben Brafman, took to press to refute the notion. Look inside to see what he said.
