‘The Little Mermaid’ is here!

Disney‘s reimagining of the beloved tale makes history with Halle Bailey in the lead role of Ariel – signifying the first time the character has been portrayed by a Black woman.

The film at large, which easily serves as one of the year’s most eagerly anticipated offerings, celebrates diversity in all its forms and is already being hailed a game-changing ahead of its global release on May 26.

That Grape Juice was on-hand at the London premiere of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and caught up with Bailey, as well as the film’s cast such as Jonah Hauer-King, Daveed Diggs, and more. All of whom spoke about the seismic impact of this version of the classic narrative.

Having already sat on radio and chart thrones with her bevy of dancefloor-ready hits, ‘Queen of Bounce’ Big Freedia is looking to extend that reign to TV ratings with ‘Big Freedia Means Business.’

Delivered by ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ producer World of Wonder, the eight-part docuseries follows Freedia as she navigates the ups-and-downs of success, new business ventures, and trying to balance fame with personal relationships.

“World of Wonder has been so graciously involved in the telling of my life, I am beyond thrilled that the series will air on WOW Presents Plus in the U.K. I’m excited to tell my story, share my hard work and for this documentary series to showcase a side of me that many won’t have had the chance to see yet,” Freedia shared in an official statement.

The entertainment world continues to reel after devastating news Queen of Rock Tina Turner died Wednesday (May 24).

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow,” a statement posted to her Facebook account read.

Easily one of the most influential female music stars of all time, Turner impacted every corner of the globe with a career that spanned 7 decades and spawned unforgettable hits like ‘Proud Mary,’ ‘Fool in Love,’ ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It,’ ‘The Best,’ and ‘Private Dancer.’

In memory of her indelible imprint, fans and celebrities alike took to social media in droves to extend their condolences.  After the likes of Angela Bassett, Beyonce, Mick Jagger, Nicki Minaj, and Kelly Rowland tugged at heartstrings with their emotional tributes, Oprah Winfrey, Anita Baker, Kerry Washington, Ciara, President Obama, Cher, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Gladys Knight, Dionne Warwick, and Queen of Pop Madonna are just a few of the other big names who did the same.

Not even 12 hours after the death of Rock Queen Tina Turner was announced Wednesday (May 24), fans of the legendary songstress have turned to streaming and digital download platforms for consolation.

It’s Offset‘s time to shine.

Over 4 years after watching his debut studio album, Father of 4,’ soar to the top 5 of the Billboard 200, the former Migos star is looking to reach even higher Billboard heights with its follow-up as revealed by his spread in the latest ‘Variety‘ magazine.

“Offset has made a phenomenal album; we can’t wait until the world hears his masterpiece,” a Capitol spokesperson told the publication. “We’re deep into release planning now and will soon have big news to share!”

Ahead of that big news (which will likely include the official release date and confirmation of the rumored solo tour to follow), Offset (born Kiari Cephus) shared his GRAMMY-winning wife Cardi B will lead a megawatt roster of guest stars on the project that also includes Chloe Bailey, Travis Scott, Latto, Future, and more.

When not hyping up the forthcoming LP, Cephus dished on his personal relationship with Cardi, meteoric rise to fame, and so much more in the chat.

Beyonce is the latest major name to pay tribute to Tina Turner in the wake of the legend’s death.

As reported, the pioneering performer passed away today (May 24) aged 83 after a prolonged illness.

Like millions the world over, a wave of celebrities poured out their emotions following the loss of the legend.

And Beyonce is joining that chorus.

Since the onset of her career, the ‘Break My Soul’ belter has consistently touted Turner as one of her biggest idols and inspirations

That love was reciprocated in earnest by Turner, who routinely heaped praise on the stage blazer who followed in her footsteps.

The pair notably celebrated their mutual admiration for one another at the 2008 GRAMMY Awards when they took to the stage together to perform a show-stopping rendition of ‘Proud Mary.’

The definition of an icon, the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s impact spans many a generation and many a medium.

Miley Cyrus wants fans to know she appreciates them after making clear that she has no “desire” to tour anytime soon.

Supporters of the songstress have been patiently awaiting word on the live plans for the star’s latest studio album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ – which is home to Billboard Hot 1o0 #1 ‘Flowers.’

Yet, in a new interview with British Vogue, Cyrus stressed that a tour – in the conventional sense – is not on the cards. In the same feature, she relayed that she prefers performers for smaller groups – like her makeup team.

Now, after ample chatter from fans, Cyrus has penned an open address – expanding on her stance and offering reassurance of her love for her loyal followers.
