‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ flies onto screens this week and already looks poised for super-sized success at the box office.

The DC Comics action adventure follows Billy Batson and his foster siblings, who transform into superheroes simply by saying the word “Shazam!”

In this installment of the blockbuster franchise, the group is forced to get back into action and fight the Daughters of Atlas. They’re tasked with stopping the formidable force from using a mystery weapon that threatens to destroy the world…if in the wrong hands.

That Grape Juice’s Maya Ego sat down with many of the names integral in making the movie the must-see that it is.

This included Lucy Liu & Rachel Zegler, Djimon Hounsou, Asher Angel & Jack Dylan Grazer, and director David F. Sandberg.

‘SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B’ has had social media timelines in a tizzy thanks to its drama straight out of the gate.

The Bravo series spotlights the iconic groups as they prepare for an epic joint show comprised of their biggest hits.

Prior to now, the lion’s share of the friction aired has been between Xscape members/sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott.

However, in the run-up to taking to the stage, tensions rise between both SWV and Xscape.

And the unease centers on who will headline their collaborative show. In a fresh preview, Kandi advocates for her collective, while the Taj is especially vocal about opposing.

After soaring to #1 on the Hot 100 with the Rick James-sampling ‘Super Freaky Girl,’ Rap Queen Nicki Minaj looks poised to repeat the feat thanks to another sample-buoyed bop: ‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze.’

The March 3-released cut, which famously features elements of Lumidee‘s early 2000’s hit ‘Never Leave You (Uh Oh),’ earned praise from the Rap diva’s fans for housing a gritty performance akin to what was found on her early mixtapes.

“Who the f**k told bitches they was me now? / I knew these bitches was slow, I ain’t know these bitches senile / Married a shooter case you ni**as tried to breathe loud,” she spit on the Go Grizzly & Cheeze Beatz-produced track.

Jetting to the top of real-time iTunes sales tallies shortly after its unveiling, the tune’s weeklong domination of digital hitlists not only led it to be the week’s top female Hot 100 debut (among all genres) but ‘Ruby’ also shines with Hip-Hop’s biggest opening of the year so far.

On the wings of preceding singles ‘Tomorrow 2‘ (featuring Cardi B) and the explosive female empowerment anthem ‘FNF (Let’s Go),’ Memphis-bred femcee GloRilla saw her debut EP – ‘Anyways, Life’s Great’ – live up to its title in late 2022 when it premiered at #11 on the Billboard 200.

In a bid to bump it to even higher charts heights, the 23-year-old has repackaged and re-released the set.

Branding it the ‘bonus edition,’ Big Glo not only expanded the project by including remixes of housed fans favorites but she also called on fellow Hip-Hop hitmakers Lil Durk and Trina to lend their talents.

Premiering March 16 on Peacock, the show sees the ladies lay bare their past relationship issues as they set sail on a fresh quest for love.

Married hosts Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete mentor the trio as they embark on the journey of searching for quality Kings. The ladies date 21 men over 10 episodes to see who compliments them best in the end.
That Grape Juice‘s Chet Kincaid sat down with Tamar, Nivea, and Evelyn who dish on what they look for in a partner, what they are willing to compromise in a relationship, the “feminine men” debate, and more.
