With Jennifer Lopez‘s comeback single ‘Louboutins’ currently struggling to chart, reliable sources have informed That Grape Juice that 40 year old’s label have scrapped the single in its entirety – no video, no iTunes release, no nothing. Instead, her team are deeming ‘Louboutins’ a ‘buzz single’ (sound familar?) and are gearing up for the release of an entirely new ‘first official single’ – set to be rolled out early 2010. Lopez’s new LP ‘Love?‘ is still scheduled for a March 2010 release.
While I most definitely had a little chuckle at yet another artist pulling the ‘buzz single’ card, I can’t help but feel a little sorry for Jennifer. Despite giving her all with the live performances of ‘Louboutins’, the song is – blunt as this may sound – a bonafide flop; which, truth be told, may have always been its final destination, as it was always pretty rubbish. That said, it’s not a wrap for Jenny just yet. Provided there aren’t any push-backs and she comes with fire for her next ‘first’ single (lol), I don’t see why she can’t make an impact on the charts once again.

no Gary you’re not the only one and i’m not sure if i believe this, she did 4 radio interviews yesterday to promote the song, and it was only send for adds Dec 8, it’s too early to call it a flop.
Also in those interview sshe said that they will release several singles before March.
what i dont understand was why:
a) they didnt release “Hooked on You” as the OFFICIAL buzz single.
b) why “Fresh Out the Oven” was not released as the first single. After all it has actually charted on the hot club dance play at number 14.
and actually someone above has raised an important point, she said she would release several singles before the album. She NEVER said this was the first single from her new album. Just that it was her new single, one of several from Love?.
Now if epic records were clever they would release an EP of buzzz singles (Fresh Out the Oven, Hooked on You and Loubitons) to promote the album because frankly people have forgotten who JLo is. She should also do more oversees promotion.

Look at the airplay stats for Louboutins. This is embarassing, that is why I believe Sam. she’s doing worse than all the divas. This song should have adds before Dec 8 and now Dec 8 has come and gone and her airplay can’t even get pass 1 mil imprssions.

Some people even hold it against her that he was a married man with two toddlers when he divorced his wife overnight and married her. And to make it even worse, she wants a musical comeback but she’s still lipsyncing on national TV. No singer in their right mind would lipsync their comeback song.

I love the Loutoutins song and it actually made me want to hear more from her. she song I didn’t really like was the one with Pit Bull.
I really like this song and her performance on Ellen was great and how she joked about her slip on stage was hilarious how cant u love this woman it sucks that u cant even request the song on almost any station in ny until yesterday was the first time i saw i could request it on 103.5 ktu but z100 no where in site not on hot 97 maybe it was cuz she hadnt promoted the song on the east cost when it premiered on the west cost so we will see as more stations get it. Jennifer recently revealed the concept of the vdeo its about her leaving the house but heres the twist she is dancing her way out of the house and with of coarse her louboutins and christian louboutins recently said too that he is designing exclusive shoes for the video for her!!! This is a classic example of TGJ thinking that record labels actually give a damn about what they think. TGJ sometimes coincidently reports something and then it comes true. This incident is an example of how TGJ thinks that if they make the report up other sites will follow in reporting it and force the label to cancel the single. However they got it wrong because Christian Louboutin told ‘Fashion Weekly’ that he was designing shoes for the video and r***** interviewed JLo bout the video. she also told access hollywood that she was not bothered if the first single didn’t take off cus the label would be dropping a FEw singles before the album.
Louboutins is sooo catchy. I can’t get it out of my head. Maybe the words aren’t all that, but its great dance music (lots of horns, catchy beat). This should be on the charts, but there are way too many haters. I love it!! It should be thrown into the Charts.
Maybe Jennifer Lopez’s music is feeling the same problem with Madonna’s new stuff. Its very good, (and although you can’t compare to the old songs and you shouldn’t), its better than other songs being played today.
