It looks like people took Omarion’s advice and decided not to buy his new album. HitsDailyDouble reports that his ‘Ollusion’ LP will debut on the charts with a dismal tally of 18-22k next week. This places him over 70k units behind Susan Boyle’s ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ which on track to sell another 95-100k copies. ‘Ollusion’ was released on January 14th.
Raise your hand if you didn’t see this coming. Backed by generally weak material and awkward live performances, I doubt that anyone was expecting this album to generate higher numbers. Omarion has a lot of potential to be a major player on the charts but lacked direction on this album, capitalising on all of the most overused trends in music, especially auto-tune. On the hand, he continues to show determination and I sense that it is only a matter of time before he finally finds his niche.

Every slow jam on his album is FIRE!! I’m on my 4th run through since I got it last night. It’s the best showing of any current male artist around his age group with the exception of Trey Songz. I wish him the best, the album is good.

Omarion’s iceBox was a good song and I think that song really helped his promo.

I was thinking the same thing….Poor promo on this one, b/c he usually has good slow songs etc.
I don’t know why they think nowadays’ they can just drop an album b/c of their name…

no one is checking for him, Omarion had his time everything was late with this ablum, surely the music and sound direction for this ablum do not sound good at all, that song “I get in” was horrible. Really once Chris Brown flop they all will flop. And they need to stop Trey Songz too hes on every feature and milking many singles from his CD, but yet again no one is checking for him either . SO OMARION MR O LOST IT. SO OLLUSION that we seen this comming dont blame HATI because your CD not selling yours just SUCKS. ICE BOX this ablum to the fridge.

Truth is, if his previous albums didn’t sell well, what made y’all and him think this one would.? He released that statement this morning because he knew that his album sales were gonna bomb so he needed a quick excuse! I read between the lines Omarion.

well before promotion, you need to have a good record. people would buy it either way with or without promotion. then you need a good promotion team b/c if they can’t promote you then even if you are a good artist, it won’t get you where you want to. and note to omarion: lay off the autotube! leave that shit to t- pain. you have a good voice. autotune is for people who can’t sing!
