Beyonce swaps pretty for edgy in the latest issue of W magazine. The Pop stunner is gearing up for a full-on media assault in support of her fourth studio album – the aptly titled ‘4’.
Preceded by singles ‘Run The World (Girls)’ and ‘Best You Never Had’, the set arrives in stores via Sony Music on June 28th. You ready?

It usually is, but has only come back on air since 2007…and LIVE since then also.
But yes, it generally airs on BBC1, BBC3, (at least 6 times in the week, mostly because of bruce springsteen and Jay) and a music channel we have here called ‘4 MUSIC’. I will make sure to record it though and put it on youtube!
And I hope she doesn’t do any DIC songs also, they’re GREAT, but quite unacknowledgable now to most people. Yeah, there’s a lot of guitar, mostly Prince-styled. 1 + 1, I Care, Start Over & I Was Here all have a tinge of Rock. I really think she should perform Green Light as well though, and That’s Why Your Beautiful! TWYB has that classic Rock-ballad sound. Uptempos should be Crazy In Love, Green Light, Get Me Bodied, Deja Vu, Ring the Alarm (MAYBE), Sweet Dreams, Radio & End of Time.
Yes! End of Time would be an amazing opener. Especially the way it builds up in the beginning!

New Beyonce album LEAKED!
….and of course its causing all sorts of drama.
Columbia Records wants to reportedly move the album back to September now because the leak, coming three weeks before the album’s release date, would hurt sales too much. All printing orders for the album have apparently already been cancelled.
Jay-Z who is reportedly head of Beyonce’s new management team and, of course, her husband agrees with the record label – but Beyonce does not. She reportedly called her own emergency meeting in London and is supposed to be coming back to the U.S. to try to convince Columbia Records to put the album out.
Jay-Z wants to pick an entire new set of songs (minus the singles that have already been released). However, Columbia wants Beyonce to redo the entire album over because they feel the other songs Beyonce turned in are too concept edgy and extreme and fear they want play well in America and Beyonce, sources say is worried about making the Grammy’s September deadline.
Interesting I guess we will see what develops. Should Beyonce scrap the whole project and work on new material? Or, just move the release date up? What do you think?

Beyonce’s Album Being Pushed Back??
Rumor has it that Beyonce’s upcoming album 4 is being pushed back. According to Sandrarose.com, a record label source said that Bey and Jay-Z sat in on an emergency meeting last week to discuss the album leak and criticism’s from fans, who are unhappy about the lack of “club music” on the album.
The site reported that Beyonce and her management team are worried about the “lack of gay support” for her more mature, ballad heavy CD.
The source said, “They’re taking the album off the [release list] and retooling it. They’re going to add 2 more songs with a club beat to send the gays to the dance floor.” The source added that the new album release date may be announced today (June 13th.)

’4′ leaked online in its entirety on June 7, three weeks before its scheduled release date. Beyoncé’s publicist addressed the leak on Bey’s Facebook page on June 9.
“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans,” her publicist wrote.
But in reality, Beyoncé and her management team are worried about the lack of gay support for her more mature, ballad-heavy CD. “They’re taking the album off the [release list] and retooling it,” said my source. “They’re going to add 2 more songs with a club beat to send the gays to the dance floor.”
My source tells me that the new release date will be announced either today or Monday.
