I was in high school then..my school was only 20 min away by train, from where it happened..
I know alot of family are sad and depressed everytime 9/11 comes around..
my heart goes out to them..I know how it feels to loose a lost one in a very tragic accident..
my mom died in a car accident when i was 16, and i was in the car with her, so I feel their pain..the pain never goes away, watching ur friends, family die in front of u..

Hey strange4sumstrange, i think i can say tjings like this, its just my opinion and im not being offensivr. I understand how i should be sensitive, and how people lost theit loved ones that day n wanna honor them. But i just dont think its helpful to have these things constantly reminding people of it, as some will want to forget and move on with their lives. People who went to post-traumatic stress counselling recorved slower than those who didnt, and the number of cases is increasing as time passes. N yeah i do realise its a touchy subject as we had the 7/7 bombings here in London, one of the buses exploded outside my mums offices, but we dont have so much attention surrounding it now, cus it aint nice being reminded that the bus route youre on exploded 6 years ago.
And i was genuinely just asking what people were donating to cus i didnt realise there wouldnt be free healthcare available. Thanks.

It’s an example but in the end the same could bs said for countries. Another country suffering more does not alleviate the plain YOU feel. Nor does your suffering alleviate the pain some in this country feel. Pain is pain. We all share it in various ways and it hurts all of us. You can definitely be disgusted but at the end of the day it wont change the reality we are all different and we don’t all share the same experiences.

Right here you went off for absolutely no reason. Your anger got the best of you. You ignored everything I said to justify your own anger. Ironically I’m not even American as you’re ranting. I even said everyone’s pain is significant and someone else’s does not lesson anothers but you ignored that. I mentioned cultural reality to explain why the things you deal with lessen the pain of 9/11 while to an American without your experience the same is true. Humans are genetically engineered to understand pain we are more likely to experience and empathize with.

Definitely. But like I said don’t make assumptions. I see where you’re coming from because I also come from a war torn country. I’m not going to write a book on this cheap blog site but believe me I’m well versed on the issues of politics and have my own opinions on US involvement.
