Euphoria might be the best word to describe the vibe, when Nicki Minaj hit Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall as part of her ‘Pink Friday Tour’ last night.
Sporting a series of ‘unique’ get ups, the chart topping Rapper’s stop at the venue follows sold out performances in Japan and Sweden, but comes before she arrives in the UK this week for the tour’s British leg.

Her upbeat set comes two months after she became the 8th Black female artist to score two US #1 albums.
Beating efforts by fellow Islander Rihanna, it also makes her the first Female Rapper to do so- surpassing feats by Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill and ‘Black Friday‘ darling Lil Kim.
Later on in the year, Minaj will launch the ‘Pop’ beverage with Pepsi Co. and is now the face of Adidas’ Fall/Winter campaign, shot by acclaimed creative Jeremy Scott.

Yeah her sales in the US are low, but they are STEADY. She is at over 500k with only ONE major single. Starships has not left the top ten since it’s release FIVE MONTHS AGO. Beez is doing really well on urban, but of course nobody cares because the general public doesn’t give a crap about hip hop anymore.
And her international numbers are SLAYING – and her tour is a MAJOR success. Doing things NO OTHER FEMALE RAPPER HAS DONE.
So while her 500k in the US (so far, we all know Nicki has longevity in sales) isn’t a major number, to say she is a flop is dumb and to say her 15 minutes are up is also dumb. The US is NOT the only music market.
If she is “done” with anything, it may be the hip hop side because their cheap asses can’t buy singles or albums. But Nicki is embraced by mainstream, who appreciates both her pop and hip hop side, so nobody cares. Urban people are so conservative and annoying.

Nicki will continue massive singles like Starships, Pound The Alarm, Va Va Voom and Whip It, Pepsi ads, Adidas ads, Ice Age 4 and y’all will stay mad
