“Vocal bible” is the name that was coined just for Brandy. Nobody thought to call anybody else the vocal bible and now that she wears that title, it is not suitable for anybody else but her. Similar to how Whitney was “the voice.” just accept it.

Vocal Bible is the prefect term for Brandy because she puts her all into her music from writing, production, sound and mood she always makes sure her work is QUALITY music! Something that even great singers like Beyonce cant even do!!! There is not one of Brandy’s unreleased tracks Ive heard that I didnt like!!! Everything she puts her name on is usually great work! Most of the singers coming out now always give Brandy love because you can’t deny her voice no matter how much you love or hate it…..

Every singer is talented in their own right. In order for one to be recognized for their gift and have a title, they must learn their craft, practice their craft, and perfect it. Aretha Franklin is the undisputed Queen of Soul. Ella is a Jazz Empress. Whitney was the VOICE. Brandy is the vocal bible, and no one should really feel like calling her that takes away from others’ talent.

Being a vocal bible isn’t about having the biggest range, it’s not about having the loudest voice, and it’s not about how long you can belt notes. A vocal bible is one who is versatile. Someone who uses their voice to its fullest potential. One who can dive and experiment with many different sounds with their voice and music, but still have their artistic integrity. Brandy is constantly honing her skills and perfecting her craft, which is why she’s respected among her peers.

I don’t understand why people get offended when we call her the vocal bible, when in all actuality, it didn’t even START with her fans. Let’s do our research folks before we start getting bent out of shape over this.

In answer to your question i think that its the bible part that is almost offending people. I understand what you’re saying and hear your point but the good book is the best book ever, so people are expecting brandy to be the best singer ever so don’t understand the intricacies of what you’re saying.
What i will say that compared to a lot of her counterparts, Brandy’s voice has held out damn well! There are a lot of singers who’s pits goes off, they become screechy or they have to alter there songs because they cant sing as they did years ago. I have to be honest, i though on a few occasions that she had to be lip syncing due to the clarity and tone of her voice. For me vocal and music wise, i have much respect for Brandy.

I miss the 90’s and early 2000’s when people supported EVERYONE. Nowadays yall queens write everyone off except your “FAV”. I heard Brandy’s album and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it! My favs are “Without You” “No Such Thing As Too Late” “Scared Of Beautiful” and “Wish Your Love Away” even though I like all of the tracks. Brandy, nor her fans started the “vocal bible” thing. Her PEERS (fellow artists) started it! Do you study the bible? Well a lot of artists study her voice (runs, harmonies, intonations etc). Chris Brown, Dawn Richard, JoJo, Kelly Rowland, Rihanna, just to name a few! Just because you can hit a high note doesn’t make you better than anyone! Brandy does things that other artists simply CANNOT do with their voices. Anyone can hit a high note (including Brandy). So sit yall azzez down and stop hating!!!

i’ve just bought Two Eleven and i am IN LOVE with this album and IN LOVE with Brandy, 10/10 for AMAZING vocals and vocal production, songs that are sooo SICK, and beats and production that wipes the floor with any other R&B album out today, this is the future sound R&B, welcome back Brandy :)

Just bought Brandy – Two Eleven (Deluxe Edition) on iTunes and so far so good. Let’s now see if Black people support their artists. Let’s see if those who make loud noise about “real music” actually support it. I bought my copy, where’s yours?

Just bought the album and THE s*** IS FIRE! “No Such Thing As Too Late” & “Don’t Let Me Go” need to be her 3rd and fourth singles.

Okay! Let’s set the record straight. The folks claiming her album is simply okay or a flop obviously aren’t real fans or know what R&B music is. Brandy vocally can do things with her voice that hardly any other artist out here can. Her raspy tone and control allows her to use her voice as an instrument on a song. If you really listen to her ALBUMS and not just TWO ELEVEN you will hear all of her harmonies. The album is laced with R&B/Hip-Hop/Urban Pop tracks with reminders of the Full Moon/Never Say Never/Afrodisiac eras yet gracing a more current modern feel to reintroduce Bran to the new kids!

Lastly, Brandy has already stated that she didn’t do a lot of writiing on this album in previous interviews. She’s not faking it or trying to put on like she wrote or cowrote on the entire album. TWO ELEVEN is a soon to be classic R&B and Brandy album. **in Tamar voice** GET YO LIFE
