Joined by rapper Kanye West and veteran rockers The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, and more, the  Grammy-winning diva lent live renditions of her latest number ‘Brand New Me’ and 2007 hit ‘No One’.

I think after those pitchy vocals, the audience would much rather have Hurricane Sandy have its way with them. Alicia Off-Keys should stick to writing beautiful songs for Emeli Sande.

    That was pretty good.

That’s why I have a problem with N*ggas always quick to tear down their own, she gave an excellent performance, but haters have to say something so hate it is. Maybe whichever idiot ont the staff that wrote this mess need to go see the ENT and figure out why your ignorant a** is deaf. SMDH!!!! we will NEVER, EVER win for this very reason. Legends praising her to death and small minded n*ggas hating, so sad.

  14. onelove December 13, 2012

how can you hate like this on such a raw and genuine performance, she gave it all! It’s a charity event, each and every artists up there were amazing, and you know why? because they were all there for a great cause. We don’t care who wasn’t looking good enough ou sounded good enough.
I’d love to see and hear all these haters belting out “no one” and “brand new me” and play the piano at the same damn time.

  19. mc the place to be!! December 13, 2012

Atleast she performed 4 a good cause unlike some people who rather perform at a new years party and get paid 4 herself rather Alicia was bad or not she’s actually helping people because she cares not because it’ll help her image!

  20. Sonya December 13, 2012

Alicia’s performance was great, especially when she came back out after the long long show and performed “Empire State of Mind”.

  21. Lana Bell December 14, 2012

She performed with alot of emotion which is what you need when performing for a disaster relief, imo. However at the same time I could not ignore that her voice is strained. She needs to take a break from singing in A minor or else she is not going to have much of a voice in the end.
