‘Epic’ newcomer Marcus Canty has been building quite the buzz since his debut jam ‘In & Out’ found itself blazing R&B radio mid-2012. Now, the ‘X Factor US’ alum is offering ‘Used By You’ – the second single from his inaugural EP ‘This Is…Marcus Canty’.
Making its rounds on the net, Canty can be found rocking this thunderous R&B jam which sees the young crooner take pride in being the “man on the side”. Well, we’re not mad at him. Get used to ‘Used’ below:
Hot! This is the new school of R&B that we’ve been waiting for. Very Mario-esque in its delivery, Canty certainly hit a homerun with this number. If chart numbers will reflect such, however, time will tell. But, what we know for sure is that Canty is certainly delivering the goods.
We await Melanie Amaro‘s official offerings to see if we will be singing that same tune.

You are late with this video.I was disappointed but her making better music than Melanie Amaro though.

I absolutely hate those ugly electro synths. Yuck. If they took those out and replaced them with more soothing and less obnoxious synths, it would be an okay song.

Not a bad song. I was fine with the video minus weird non-existent ‘chemistry’ between marcus and the lady. Overall, I am glad he is putting out R&B. Too many R&B artists are abandoning their R&B roots.
