New Video: B Smyth – ‘Leggo (Ft 2 Chainz)’

Published: Friday 1st Feb 2013 by David

He’s the R&B sensation who rose to fame covering cuts by some of his favorite artists, and now- by way of Ne-Yo and Motown Records- this year marks the arrival of B Smyth.

With his debut album set for launch in the coming months, the 19 year old kicks his campaign off with the release of ‘Leggo‘, featuring ‘No Lie’ Rapper 2 Chainz.

We’re excited about him, so check out the video below and let us know if you are too…

Sure, while comparisons to Chris Brown are going to be inevitable, we’re curious to see how Smyth is positioned in today’s Urban lane.

As it stands, we’re catching a PG friendly Bobby Brown vibe, which if worked to his full advantage could see him win over a fan base similar to that of Chris’.

A fan base, made up of girls who find him both sweet and sexy and guys who deem him relatable enough to listen to, which is currently the case with Drake and the aforementioned Chris.

So let us know…

 Do you like him?

Nope. After 5 second I can say he is not it. Black singers are gonna have to get back in the drawing board and come harder and more creatively. There already will know they will NEVER get teen white girls, yet there music and style look is wacker than ONE D AND JB.

    • BeyWhoUWanna February 1, 2013

Oh f*** off you hater. What’s this got to do with black singers. The dude is Fistophina rip off but don’t act like you weren’t jamming to the song.

      • wrinkle flop ora, February 1, 2013

ask One D ” 100 million dollar or JB on the cover of every magazine, what the f*** it has to do with race, b****!

      • wrinkle flop ora, February 1, 2013

JB is JT rip off and ONE D ARE EVERY BOY BAND RIP OFF? Why are they so rich and famous, so fast? There insane level of talent?

  7. KissingTremaine February 1, 2013

Don u dare compare Bobby brown to this s***. BB had natural swag, crazy dance, rock start swag voice and dope ass hits that personified the 80’s I love BB song for Ghostbuster, that was NYC, lates 80s. Drugs ruined his career, whitney was right: he was the king of RNB and this boy will not even chart on itunes.

Talking of Chris loser brown. He should stop insulting dark skin black women on record and in public. I have sen pics of him pushing away dark fans, but embracing white girls who only like ONE direction. His fan base is dark skin ( black girls ) Customer is always right. make your customer happy. White girls do not buy his music. Neither do Asian or latina. they like teen white boys. Black girls do, so he should stop degrading them, cos without black girls. HE WILL BE DROPPED.

    • wrinkle flop ora, February 1, 2013

One direction and JB do not abuse girls of any race. Maybe this black ” man ” can learn from these teen white boys.

He looks better in the video. They say dark skin women are ugly, but this boy is cute. His momma is dark, and ugly woman cannot make cute man like thus.

    His music is not cutting

The best part of the song was 2 chaiz. The dancers and dancing was sick, but, why or why is he styled all in black and dressed like his dancers? How are we meant to know who the lead is?

  12. BITCHPLEASE February 1, 2013

THIS S*** DUDE GONNA BLOW UP FOR REAL BCOS WE WHITE LIL GIRL ACTUALLY LIKE BLACK NOW CUZ ITS THE NEW TREND AND WE’RE LOVING IT. PLEASE COME AND LICK MY P**** JUST LIKE THAT.LOL

  14. King B>Rihanna February 2, 2013

    he is so f****** s***

  15. Remey February 2, 2013

Honestly, the industry is looking for a cleaner, fresher Chris Brown. They thought they could pull it off with Jason Derulo, but his sound is too Pop/Generic for the Urban lane.

And before the haterz jump on me, Chris was a goldmine before The Incident. He was the boy next door. The media capitalized on that, which was about to bring him endorsements, multi-mogul projects, and cross-over appeal with fans. But after Chriannagate occurred, it tarnished his brand. Even though the Bad Boy image worked to some degree, it will never get him back to the status he was about to achieve.

In the month since its release, ‘Tone It Down’ – the latest collabo between rapper Gucci Mane and R&B bad boy Chris Brown – has failed to impact the Billboard Hot 100. Peaking right outside of the tally at the top of the Bubbling Under charts, the duo are looking to change its fate… Read More

It’s finally here! Having shared space on the tracks ‘Do You Mind’ (DJ Khaled), ‘I Wanna Be With You’ (DJ Khaled), ‘Tapout’ (Rich Gang), and more, chart-topping rappers Future and Nicki Minaj are far from strangers.  This is probably why fans of both acts went into a frenzy when the two were photographed on… Read More
