….and Ariana Grande‘s rise to the top continues!
Days after altering her ‘Yours Truly’ album cover following intense criticism from fans and critics alike, Ariana Grande continues to give many a Pop belle a run for her money with a sweet ascent to Billboard’s Social 50.
In need of a chart fix?
We’re waiting for you below…
Thanks to the hype fuelled by ‘Baby I‘s release, the Pop Princess soars straight into the chart’s Top Ten, now perched at #8!
Not sure how the Social 50 works?
Well, each weeks sees Billboard tally the amount of social media Friends and Followers, streams and website views each act scores, ranking them in order of dominance.
This week, as Ariana’s buzz grows louder she makes her first entry on the tally, which has seen Rihanna hold the record for spending the most weeks (21) at #1.
In adding to her win, Grande watches ‘I’ debut with 141,000 units in its release week, months after her debut single ‘The Way’ came in 219,000 units. In doing this, she becomes the first female act to score two or more Top Ten debut singles on the Digital songs chart!
Ariana’s continued winning streak comes month after she took on Mariah Carey‘s Christmas classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ last year.
How did she fare?
