Come March 4th 2014, music lovers across the globe will be able to pick up ‘Braveheart‘, the latest studio offering from R&B royal Ashanti.

An independently pushed release, the album’s arrival will follow a series of critic-baiting push backs, and 2008’s ‘The Declaration’, responsible for the L.T Hutton produced ‘The Way That I Love You.’

Today, as to give fans the opportunity to ‘try before they buy’, the singer has unlocked the album before its release, making it available for streaming via the link that awaits you below!

I heard the album and it’s cute. Nothing spectacular. She shoulda released it 3 years ago because it wasn’t worth the wait.

  2. Bey Fan February 27, 2014

Its actually a pretty good album.. not sure why it took so long to come out…but i think its a solid album

    I’ll support her.

  3. Bey Fan February 27, 2014

    @boytoy

    EXACTLY

  4. OWWW February 27, 2014

Good cd, already ordered the deluxe version from Target! i think delay comes from the fact hat she is an independent artist and she is funding the whole project out of her own pockets. Kudos to her for that!

  5. Casual February 27, 2014

Not a Pandora user and will not be signing up today. I made it through a few of the songs I had not heard before getting to a mandatory sign-in page.

    My impressions so far:

Three Words – A (hit potential)
Love Games ft. Jeremih – C
    Scars – C

  6. BEYHIVE_MINAJ February 27, 2014

@TheBoyToy Agreed. She’s kept her fans waiting so long for something that isn’t even her best work yet.

  7. hur February 27, 2014

Moment of Silence. This will be one of the biggest flops this year.

  8. Fran February 27, 2014

The wait wasn’t worth the wait.

  9. Realest February 27, 2014

    I simply LOVE this album!

My two favorite songs( I can’t remember the titles) are

1.) where she proclaims “I woke up like dis, I woke up like dis”

    And

2.) the song where she talks about her name being on her mans mouth like liquor

    #GoShan

I pre-ordered it from Amazon. I listened to about 3 songs on that Pandora site because the music was interrupted with them wanting me to sign up, which I didn’t do. I gotta admit that I wasn’t left terribly impressed by what I heard. The songs were only slightly OK. Here’s hoping that the rest of the album is worth the money I blindly spent on it at Amazon.

What a fucken flop ain’t nobody checking for this b**** ..not even her mom

  12. Sandra February 27, 2014

Is that the official album cover?

  13. RoyalKev February 27, 2014

    Good Luck Ashanti.

I’m thinking she should drop Nowhere & Count for the best results.

  14. RoyalKev February 27, 2014

Just heard 3 Words, it’s really good! That’ll get the job done too!

  15. Casual February 27, 2014

Okay, so I’m not the only person who couldn’t listen to the whole album on Pandora. WHY IS THIS ALBUM NOT PREVIEWED ON YOUTUBE?

  16. D February 27, 2014

She’s indie……that alone ‘saves’ her from being the biggest flop of the year. Indie artists NEVER do big/decent numbers.

  17. kareem February 27, 2014

    Im here for it

  18. Andre February 27, 2014

she delivered, worth the wait. cant wait to get my copies

  19. JER February 27, 2014

I’m sorry, but after the 2003 ass sounding ATROCITY that was the ‘intro/braveheart/ squawking away I had to close the window out. No ma’am. Are people still doing these types of ‘intro’ tracks. Trying to sound all deep and musical. I was SCREAMING at the echo and feedback “After all I’ve been through (BEEEN THROUGHHHHH) Have a seat girlfriend. These tacky intros and skits are yesteryear. I couldn’t listen any further. *puts on Beyonce’s album)* uhh AHHH ahhhhh

  20. number1k9 February 27, 2014

#DEAD at JER above saying intros are dated. If you would have continued you would have realized that it is merely an intro to the album. Not an intro track on the album! The intro goes into a full length album SONG.

I have liked what I have heard. Nothing was terrible to the point where I would want to never heard it ever again. Certainly from a first listen a 3.5/5 Star album for the true R&B / Ashanti / Hip Hop & R&B fans out in the world!

  21. Guillermo February 27, 2014

Wow….she looks amazing, No Nose jobs, No bleaching, No breast implants, or but pads,A naturally good looking young lady. Her lyrical content on her songs are spectacular totally caught me……will b buying my hard copies at target. Go Ashanti Braveheart !!!!!!!!

  22. Alicia February 27, 2014

Wow this CD freakin rocks, her lyrics hit home, and best of all she wrote them………Great job Ashanti will b buying 2 copies one for me other for my sister who just had a breakup and loves Never should have.

  23. Really February 27, 2014

obviously Ashanti is doing something right the amount of hate above. I can’t with grape followers sometimes. Most only support their fav’s and never give other artist’s a chance. Its a losing game for everyone who’s not plastic gummy’s.

  24. Janet February 27, 2014

Dont tell me no is a smash should b next single, early in the morning is beyond soothing, scars, all these tracks are amazing wish she had some heavy metal guitar strings for us heavy metal fans of her next time Ashanti ! PS would love to see an Ashanti/Prince Colloboration, that would b pure sexxxxxy vocal perfection.

  25. affair1000 February 27, 2014

Shes going to make 6 per cd she sales insted of 25 cents on a major that has a lot of overhead if she sales. 25,000 she makes 150,000

  26. The CAT Speaks February 27, 2014

    @D

    What about Tyrese?
What about Macklemore & Ryan Lewis?
    What about Jill Scott?

They are all Indie Artists and they all had HUGE sales. So what are you talking about?

  27. DatDude February 28, 2014

I must say Ashanti went raw on this album I mean I didn’t even have to skip 1 song at all there all amazingly done right I will be purchasing the album.. Welcome back Ashanti I knew the wait was worth it

  28. MC!!! February 28, 2014

indie never do big numbers??? say that to macklemore. the album sound good by the way

  29. Mark111 February 28, 2014

Well her promo is the same with the other girls with major lables. So if she can do 50k or match what the Ciaras and Kellys did last year, that’s huge for an inde. But when you can write, you can go inde cause these lables arn’t doing any better.

  30. Truth February 28, 2014

Nothing spectacular? but its better than Beyonces latest album so yeah i think your just hating. The album shits on your life tho

  31. Truth February 28, 2014

Lmao you mad??? yeah i think your mad this album shits on your whole existence

  32. Truth February 28, 2014

Because she’s doing it without a major label backing her up. You people that don’t understand how the music industry works are always the first to hate. When you can release a masterpiece of an album like Braveheart on your own label, funding your whole project and writing every single song then come talk to me. Theres no female in the game touching Ashanti’s talent.

  33. HONEST Truth February 28, 2014

    @ THE CAT SPEAKS

You done lost your mind. The only Independent act with huge success is Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and that was out of this world/uncommon.

Jill Scott and Tyrese have not even been minor R&B stars since around the mid 00s. They do NOT have “major success” with music. Prob more in movies now.

  34. facts February 28, 2014

I don’t like it at all.
