Katy Perry is making bank!
After watching her management team give Disney belle Selena Gomez the boot, Perry has learned that the North American leg of her ‘Prismatic Tour’ has pulled in $31 million, generated since the June of this year.
Facts and figures below…
Dates fulfilled in four cities are to thank for the amount the tour has generated thus far, with performances put on in Chicago‘s United Centre on August 7th and 8th handing the Pop star $3.3 million.
However, it was her shows at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Centre that moved the most tickets, helping to bring total ticket sales to the $50 million mark, brought in from almost 500,000 tickets sold for 33 different concerts.
With these figures, Perry now sits atop Billboard‘s weekly Hot Tours tally, surpassing efforts made by One Direction‘s ‘Where We Are’ live show and Kanye West‘s ‘Yeezus’ showing this week.

She’s the biggest SINGLES ARTIST in the world. She hardly sold out any of her shows. And her shows are really boring. I was at the two prismatic shows she did in Washington DC. The arena was like half full and she sang slow songs for like an hour. Definitely a snooze fest.

It clearly says “North American leg”. $31 mil from 33 dates is a 98% sell out rate, which means she was grossing roughly 1 mil per city which is huge for any artist, not to mention, her ticket prices are on average $150 compared to Beyoncé who charges upwards to $300 for some tickets. Just wait until she hits Europe, Asia, Australia and South America and does a 2nd North American leg… She’ll top $150 mil at least. Congrats Katy

The acts were saying North America is her biggest market in terms of touring, one would have expected some U2 type numbers with the amount of hyping the Kats did. Instead, these are average numbers of any pop star out today.

Katy Perry is so damn basic on every front. The music, her voice, her image, her live performances (well, what she tries to do when she has to perform I mean, including faking she can play the flute LOL),…
It´s just, I don´t know, sad that many mediocre or just bad singers/artists have a place in nowadays mainstream industry.
But wasn’t Skyfall preaching this tour was flopping? I provided receipts that proved otherwise but the pressed soul still proclaimed. What now? The receipts are coming out and it turns out I was right. Katy Perry, the current Queen of Pop, is scalping with this tour. $31 million off the North American leg alone (reading is key Beyfoons). The best part is that the North American leg isn’t done yet. She has several more shows left in the US plus four shows in Mexico. She’ll do over $40 million from the US alone. Monsters need not try throwing shade, Katy scalped Gaga on the charts, in single sales, awards, album sales, and now touring. I see why the Beyfoons are worried. Prism has launched bigger hits then Beyonce and overall sold more records, but Beyonce has stalled at 3.4 million worldwide while Prism is still selling steady and closing in on a less then 200k gap in worldwide sales. You can underestimate Slayty Perry but the numbers don’t lie.
