Published: Sunday 16th Apr 2017 by Sam

Lady Gaga sprung a sprung a surprise on fans at Coachella tonight in the form of a brand new song ‘The Cure.’

Speaking to the Californian crowd, Mother Monster explained:

“I’ve been so excited for this next part of the show because I’ve been trying to keep it a secret for so long I’ve been in the studio and I’d like to debut a brand new song, The Cure.”

I love you guys so much. I have been through so much in my life and I’ve seen so much. And you cure me every time with your love.” {GGD}

Take a listen below…

Yes, yes, and yes!

Now, this is what hits are made of.

It’s sonically in the thick of what’s current, while also serving as something fresh for Gaga’s discography.

It remains to be seen if this is in anyway connected to ‘Joanne’ or whether this is tied to a different project altogether. But, either way, we aren’t complaining; this is a winner.

    This. This. This. THIS!

I knew Gaga had it in her! There’s a reason she was the biggest celebrity on the planet at one point.

    Bop!

I don’t think I’ve heard a more radio friendly and ear catching first single since Christina’s ‘your body’ five years ago! This is definitely a hit. Thank you Gaga!!! Can’t stop playing!!!

Is it a new single or what? Maybe just something to keep momentum going towards the tour? Something for the fans. I personally love Joanne and have prefered all her growth as an artist and versatility, vocally wise and all. So going back to pure pleasant radio friendly pop is not what excites me more about her. But I´m sure the track is kind of good regardless.

I can’t understand why this song is not on Joanne! Amazing record and with massive potential to become a hit. Come through GaGa!

Finally a good Gaga song!! It’s been time! Even I as an RnB lover love this mediocre watered down pop joint.

There are several great songs on Joanne (Million Reasons, Joanne, Sinners prayer…). The fact some people keep asking for only the more basic pop Gaga and act as if she hadn´t done anything good since 2011 says it all about their taste in music.

I LIVE for Gaga and this song is ‘cute’. It’s a great pop song and vocally she sounds really fresh. I just cant figure out what direction she is going as this wouldnt belong on any of her albums imo as it’s a little ‘safe’ by Gaga standards. Something that she has NEVER been. Interested to see where she takes this.

this sounds nothing like Gaga music, and like a single from Chainsmokers, or one of the current producers.

I see what Gaga is doing, lol. back to her pop roots. Not a bad move. Tho it lacks the edge of Gaga’s most famous hits

Ehhh! Sounds like a tinashe/ Demi lovato reject. This is purely generic. Ugh! I actually liked the route she was going with Joanne. Sad part is I’ll probably love it by next week.

It sounds different. Very different. It’s like she’s going a New direction sonically and I’m here for it.
