Fifth Harmony may be on hiatus, but its members are each heating up the solo scene – the latest being Dinah Jane.
Dive below for details…
Variety confirms the murmurs that the youngest of the Pop quad has inked a lucrative deal with L.A Reid‘s new label venture Hitco.
By joining Reid’s roster (which also includes OutKast star Big Boi), Jane reunites with the force who shepherded 5H during their run at Epic – the Sony imprint he departed last April amidst drama.
Already hard at work in the studio with the likes of Nic Nac, Neff-U, JR Rotem, and Priscilla Renae (‘Worth It’), Jane’s debut single is said to be dropping in a mere matter of weeks.
Hitco sees Reid take a different direction to his major label rooting. For, the label is distributed by indie force EMPIRE – who’ve spearheaded hit releases from the likes Remy Ma and Fat Joe, as well as DRAM.
Dinah’s signing now means each member of 5H are now signed as soloists.
Normani and Lauren Jauregui stayed in the Sony Music family, leaving Epic and making lateral moves to RCA and Columbia Records respectively. Meanwhile, Ally Brooke recently signed with Atlantic Records.
Camila Cabello, who departed 5H a year before their hiatus, is the sole member to remain with base label Epic.
We continue to wish all the ladies the best. They each brought something unique to the group, so it’s exciting to see how they’ll grow and evolve their individual gifts.
