Ella Mai has leaped into the ears and minds of the masses with her seemingly endless stream of R&B smashes.
Indeed, this year’s ‘Boo’d Up’ blew all the way up, while successor ‘Trip’ is following suit.
Both are lifted from the Londoner’s self-titled debut, which arrives via Summers/Interscope tomorrow (October 12th).
Ahead of its premiere, Mai took front stage center on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform ‘Trip.’

Granted we have a penchant for sequinned show-boaters, we’re equally as impressed with acts who still deliver compelling content with a more stripped-back approach – like Ella.

She has such a long way to go, performance wise. Hopefully, she and her fans can look back at these “early” performances and see how far she will have come. Solid music but NOT READY FOR THE CAMERA AT ALL right now…
