Zayn has long let the music do the talking since setting sail on his solo journey.

Indeed, the former One Direction star has stuck to delivering his material in recorded form than performing it live. The rationale for which he has been open about in the past.

However, with a album comes new perspective.

Because Zayn has unwrapped a live performance of ‘Alienated’ – the latest offering to be served up from his fourth studio LP ‘Room Under the Stairs’ (which is due on May 17 via Mercury).

Speaking on the release, the star said:

“‘Alienated’ was the first song I wrote for the album, so it kind of set the tone for the whole project – it shaped the way I  wanted  to  approach  the  sound  of  my  own  voice, the styling of the guitars and the overall sonic direction.”

Zayn is zooming towards the release of his fourth studio album, ‘Room Under the Stairs’ and he’s inviting the masses to learn more about the set ahead of its arrival next month.

For, moments ago, the former One Direction star unlocked the official tracklist for the project – which also dubs as his first at his new label home, Mercury Records.

Led by the single ‘What I Am,’ Zayn has revealed that another taste of the LP will be served up in the form of ‘Alienated.’ The track has been confirmed for release this Friday (April 12).

With the clock ticking toward the May 17 unveiling of his fourth solo studio album, ‘Room Under the Stairs,‘ singer-songwriter Zayn is undoubtedly hoping fans are making room on their playlists for his new music.

The latest taste from the Mercury and Republic Records-releasing set comes courtesy of the Dave Cobb-produced ‘What I Am.’

“If I told you I loved you / Would you say that it’s f-cked up? / If I told you they’re flyin’ / Would you say that you looked up? / Don’t take me for what I’m sayin’ / Just take me for what I am,” he croons on the touching new single.

Zayn is wasting no time cranking up the buzz machine for his fourth studio album, ‘Room Under the Stairs.’ 

Freshly announced yesterday (March 13), the set arrives due May 17 via the star’s new label, Mercury Records.

Zayn Malik is making musical moves once again.

After a brief spell away from the limelight, the Pop pin-up returned with new single ‘Love Like This.’ 

Serving as a standalone offering, the melodic track was paired with a slick visual directed by Frank Borin and Ivanna Borin.

With the track gaining traction on US radio (where it’s cracked the top 40), Malik has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video.

The lengthy hiatus following ZAYN‘s 2021 studio effort, the commercially panned ‘Nobody is Listening,’ came to a close Friday (July 21) with the release of his heavily teased new single ‘Love Like This.’

Said to be the first taste of new music set to line the ‘Listening’ follow-up LP due later this year, the tune notably arrives as his first release at new label home Mercury Records.

“I guess that’s love like this / Usually, I never wanna jump like this / But I think I wanna dump my chips ’cause / I cannot go back / I guess that’s faith like this,” he sings on the chorus of The Monsters & Strangerz-produced bop.
