Pop diva Christina Aguilera was spotted out about in Beverly Hills earlier this week, rocking a more demure look. It marks the first time the 29 year old has been seen in public since her latest album ‘Bionic’ tanked on the Billboard charts – despite a huge promotional push.

Word has it the album is performing better in other non-US territories. However many have labelled the record (which ironically is rather solid) an undeniable flop – based on the fact that her promotional efforts were almost exclusively geared at the US (her biggest market).

Worse still for Aguilera’s fans, it appears as though the ‘Not Myself Tonight’ singer is shifting her focus to new movie ‘Burlesque’. For she’s been quietly doing the promo rounds  for the film, recently chatting it up with USA Today – yet with no mention of the album in any capacity. Perhaps the mother of one and her team are hoping that if they move onto the film project with the swiftness, folk will forget ‘Bionic’ ever existed. Sad thing is, I think they have already.

In any case, it’ll be interesting to see what Ms. Aguilera’s next musical move is. Rush out a new album? Take ANOTHER 4 years off? Who knows…time will tell.
