Foxy Brown Mentions Scrapped Joint Album with Mary J. Blige

The success of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch the Throne’ has incited many-an-artist to express desires (or forthright plans) to follow suit. Interestingly, Jay’s protege, Brooklyn’s don diva Foxy Brown, caused quite the commotion with mention of her own joint project – a failed duet album with Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige. Said to have been titled ‘Best of Both Girls’ – a play off the Jay-Z/R.Kelly ‘Best of Both Worlds’ album, the Ill Na Na shared news on the project and what caused its halt.

Foxy Brown On Lil Kim : ‘I Don’t Need To Bash Other Artists’

After a well documented few years, recent weeks have seen Hip Hop icon Foxy Brown slowly but surely make her way back into Popular debate. Particularly, when such debate is centered around the impact she has made on the genre of Rap.

Foxy Brown Weighs In On Lil Kim’s ‘Black Friday’ Jab

In what will be sure to re ignite their long standing feud, Rap royal Foxy Brown has given her two cents on how she feels about Lil Kim‘s infamous ‘Black Friday’ release during a performance shot just hours ago.

Although aimed at a certain younger and far more commercially potent rival of Ms.Jones, the song ‘Black Friday’ does indeed feature a line which many music enthusiasts agree remarks on an near death incident involving Ms. Brown.

Which many say came as a result of her long standing war of words with the former jail bird.

Nicki Minaj may now currently hold the record for being Hip Hop’s highest earning female and her debut LP may be one the fastest selling albums to be released by an artist in the last few years, but there are still many who believe she is not eligible for the title of the current Queen Of Hip Hop.

With the average career life span for most female rappers undeniably very short, the issue of supremacy is an ever debated one with many a fan base believing that their favourite Femcee is indeed the Queen of the Rap/Hip Hop genre.

Foxy Brown Announces ‘Black Roses’ Double Album

For those of you who were drunk enough to enjoy Foxy Brown’s ‘Christmas Massacre’ then get another bottle of alcohol ready because she is dropping an entire double album of new material. In fact, ‘Black Roses’ is carded for release by September of this year.

There is still no word as to whether Foxy wil opt to put forward the record via PayPal like her nemesis, Lil Kim, did with her notorious ‘Black Friday’ mixtape. See all the details below:
