That Grape Juice were on hand at BET’s annual Black Girls Rock extravaganza in New York City. The star-studded show, which aired last night, saw performances from the likes of Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, and Melanie Fiona.

In the spirit of the similarly billed, some ‘performers’ perform best when mute. The posterchild of such notion is certainly no-time Grammy winning vocal less vocalist Cassie. The ‘Long Way 2 Go’ singer, whose growing endorsement deals include Carol’s Daughter, saw her lend her look to a recent campaign for the beauty brand.
Needless to say, when in her native territory, the model-with-a-micserves of h-e-a-t on a platter!

Word has it the songstress is not only putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming album, but she is readying a new music video for ‘King of Hearts’ (scheduled for release in the coming weeks). The video features choreography from none other than famed Lady Gaga choreo-craftswoman Laurie Ann Gibson.
Famed choreographer Laurieann Gibson has recently found success in her BET top-rated dance competition‘Born To Dance’. Heavy on the promo trail for the named showing, one of Gibson’s interviews recently came under fire as she cited herself as the reason for Lady Gaga‘s success.
Now (in another interview), the former ‘Fly-Girl’ has made more interesting commenets – weighing in on other celebrities, namely R&B bad boy Chris Brown. See what the Canadian choreographer had to say about this and who made her ‘choreography wish list’ after the jump:
Former Making The Band choreographer, Laurie-Ann Gibson, performed her debut single ‘Addictive’ on BET’s 106 & Park earlier this week. I feel kinda bad for the following because of what she says at the end, but that was a mess. Tell a lie, the ‘performance’ was borderline ok – I mean, we all know she can dance – but that song is the absolute pits. Garbage at it’s worst. Stick to the dancing, I say.

Former ‘Making The Band’ choreographer, Laurie Ann Gibson has spoken out about her now- infamous fight with Diddy – which resulted in her being fired (or leaving – depending on who you believe) the popular MTV show. Having watched the catch-up episodes again yesterday, I definitely agree with her that the show was edited to make her look bad. The camera’s were allegedly still rolling – yet all we got was mangled audio and clips of Laurie Ann acting a diva. Diddy knows he was wrong for that..

Choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson appears to be cashing in on her ‘Making The Band’ fame by launching her own reality show. The show is being shopped around to different networks at present. In this trailer for the pilot episode, the concept is revealed: she wants to be a singer and is recording an album. This has to be a joke, right? If not, this pretty much confirms that the whole ‘Diddy incident’ a few months back was a publicity stunt. Ridiculous.

The NY Daily News is reporting that Diddy allegedly assaulted his ‘Making The Band’ co-star Laurie-Ann Gibson during the filming of the hit shows new season. According to Gibson the ‘Come To Me’ rapper tried to throw a chair at her during a heated argument. Former New Edition member Michael Bivens – a guest judge on the show- is alleged to have been involved too. MTV apparently caught the incident on camera. Check out the report:In the complaint filed with Manhattan cops May 11, Gibson said she got into a heated argument with Diddy and celebrity judge Michael Bivins during the April 25 filming of the MTV show at a branch of New York Sports Clubs in Greenwich Village.
Gibson said the two men started yelling and cursing at her when she told them the dancers had been given only a day to practice in order to see what they would do in a crunch.
Bivins then allegedly grabbed her while Diddy picked up a chair and threatened her. She said she broke free, tried to run and Bivins allegedly grabbed her once again. Then she left, the complaint stated.
Sources said Diddy fired her during the angry exchange – and at one point yelled for the MTV cameras to be shut off.
Reps for Diddy have rubbished Gibson’s claims and deemed her just another person trying to ‘take advantage of his (Diddy’s) celebrity status’; investigators looked into the claim and reported ‘no criminal’ activity’.
I find it hard to believe that Gibson – who has been associated with Diddy for more than 10 years – would make this up to capitalize on his fame. Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see if MTV screen this in the new season of ‘Making The Band’ especially since they will have to explain Gibson’s sudden removal from the show. Scandal.
