Tomorrow brings with it the US debut of Halle Berry‘s critically acclaimed movie ‘Frankie & Alice’.
The film, which was originally released in Canada alone back in 2010, re-tells the narrative of Frankie – an American go-go dancer with a mental disorder. Inspired by a true-life story, the movie relays her struggles to remain her true self while fighting against two alter egos: a seven-year-old child named “Genius” and a Southern white racist “Alice.”
In building on the picture’s buzz, Berry sat down with Extra to discuss the role, as well as motherhood, and her upcoming TV show ‘Extant’ (directed by Steven Spielberg).
Peep the interview below, where the trailer for ‘Frankie & Alice’ also awaits…
The trailer…
I saw this movie four years ago but it was good that I’ll watch it again 2bfair. I lived for Ms.Halle’s Southern accent.
Why did it so long to come out here?
I’m not impressed 2bh. This movie is amazing and it takes them four years to put it out outside of Canada and don’t even give it killer promo. Like wtf! If y’all knew how good it was you would understand why I’m so mad.
YES IM HERE FOR ANYTHING HALLE BERRY DOES!!!
SHE IS ICON!!!!!!!!!!!
This was not a good movie. Halle’s acting is not believable. She was way too stiff for a stripper/go-go dancer and out of her depth portraying this character with multiple personalities. It’s too much, no subtlety in her delivery, almost like she is in a high school play. All the other players in the movie were fine. Halle not so much. The movie is a bore and should have been a Lifetime special.
