Hmm.. Remind’s me a Beyonce’s “Daddy.” Which I like better because it tells stories and is just a more touching song.

^^^And how you know all that..all you heard of Ashanti’s song is a one minute clip…GTFOH with the Beyonce comparsion..s*** is so tired. I love Bey but she was not the first one to do a tribute song to a parent.

I love this song. It did get me a bit teary eyed, I aint gonna front. But anywho. Song is amazing, voice is on point. Both Baby Face and Ashanti did their thing. This just gets me that much crazy for the album. June 3rd baby!

Seriously, this is so naff! it’s stuck in the 90s and done a million times. R&B doesn’t have to be to boring!

I’m sorry it’s just something about this chick that I just don’t like
maybe it’s because when she came out in 2002 her record label just up and gave her the tital of princess of R&B it’s that kind of aragance that I HATE I mean damn if your ganna be called the “princess” of anything atleast have the talent to back it up and I just don’t think this chick can sing I’d much rather listen to Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Mariah I call NEXT on Ashanti

  14. LaLa May 11, 2008

^^If someone is given you permission to post a comment…your ganna(gonna) have to learn how to spell. And I quess you’ll never have the tital(title) of anything. Sheeeshhh. The aragnace (arrogance) of some people.

    Class dismissed……Next.

Anyways, great song and she did a wonderful job. Cant wait for the album June 3rd.

^^^^ Are you seriously correcting people’s spelling? The fact still remains Ashanti can’t sing and if your (you’re) going to correct someone’s spelling at least check your own spelling first fool! I’m given(giving) you permission to go play in traffic now I quess(guess) class is over now

  16. Ryan May 11, 2008

    @ sassy
why would you come at him or her about their spelling when your correcting them yourself…get it together

Now ppl have been saying for the longest Ashanti can’t sing this Ashanti can’t sing that…bottom line is if she couldn’t sing and wouldn’t sell she wouldn’t have a record deal…….last time i check she had one now get yourself in check!

  17. Anonymous May 11, 2008

Cassie has a record deal and she can’t sing worth a dayum, so what does that really say?

  18. Anonymous May 12, 2008

^^^^^ No need to argure with nieve people. Ashanti will always have haterz. I mean this song was so beautiful and her vocals was amazing but of course somebody got to hate. It’s only natural. I believe they are scared that she is about to takeover the R&B game once again. I mean there ain’t no female out right now that can touch this woman with the pen and pad. She is a lyrical genious.

June 3rd. The Declaration go cop it.

  19. Anonymous May 12, 2008

It’s not hate, the s*** is just bad. People can’t have their opinions anymore?! Damn!

  20. Teknique74 July 21, 2008

Um 2 those who say she cant sing thats so old! It's 2008 Ashanti hads proven herself so move on from that u hatin ass h*** The Declaration in Stores Now ! The Princess Of Hip Hop And R&B B****** Yes sir It's The one the only ASHANTI Holla!

  21. Anonymous July 25, 2008

If she couldn’t sing in 2002, what the hell makes you think she can sing in 2008. She has made no improvement, she still can’t sing and she never will. Her poor record sales from year after year show that people have caught on to her not being a talented artist. Ashanti sucks.

  22. Anonymous October 31, 2008

I believe she has been given a chance to prove herself and quite frankly she can not SANG, but she can SING. So that is why people continue to support her and her endeavors. Give her a break. Don’t talk about her if you don’t like her, just don’t buy her albums. Be a silent hater, not a loud one. But by all means, hate…It’s what makes the world worth living!! And if you KNOW that you would get booted from American Idol if you opened your mouth to sing, don’t talk about anyone else who had the courage to go for theirs.
