Ashanti’s Lines Up ‘Good Good’

Published: Tuesday 10th Jun 2008 by Sam

Despite the Akon/Nelly assisted ‘Body On Me’ having been confirmed as the second single to be lifted from Ashanti’s ‘The Declaration’ LP, it is now being reported that the Jermaine Dupri produced ‘Good Good’ (which you can listen to above) will serve as her next official single (going for adds at radio June 16th). In the meanwhile, ‘Body On Me’ is slated to be one of two of Nelly’s follow-ups to current single ‘Party People’, the other being ‘Stepped On My J’s (ft. Ciara). {Source}

I’m really liking both tracks and, more so than that, the convergence between both Ashanti and Nelly’s projects.

Your thoughts?

    I love the song. I got that good good.

    and the reason why it may sound like Mariah Carey is because JD produced the track. So don’t go around putting MC name on a track that JD did. Give credit to Jermaine Dupri.

    I’m into the new song, it’s good. I wonder if she’ll perform this one tomorrow in NYC at the Toyota party – I work with them, so I want to share some thrilling, new webisodes called If Looks Could Kill. They follow an aspiring fashion designer, Bianca, who’s involved in international espionage by night. If you’re familiar with the BMW shorts from a couple of years ago (Guy Ritchie, Madonna), these webisodes definitely have a similar production level.

    Interactive: Toyota has gone one step further, the viewer can interact with Bianca to help her unravel the mystery that has suddenly become her life. I really enjoy the multiple levels; it adds a dimension of reality to the story and builds a unique relationship between the main character and viewer.

    Launch party: We have our official launch party the 11th @ Eyebeam in NYC— with performances by Ashanti(!!!!!), Janelle Monae and Anthony Hamilton. Tyra Banks is also on the guest list!

    I’d really love your take on the first episode—Haute Pursuit—and discuss more as the other episodes roll-out. Myself, I’m still trying to figure out who the bad guy is—the ex, the boyfriend, the boss? Or maybe it’s Nana? lol

    Again, would love your take because bloggers like yourself definitely have a good eye about what’s cool, hot and current. I would have contacted you via email but I didn’t know which the best way to reach you was. I hope I didn’t overstep my bounds by directly contacting you.

    Don’t be shy! 🙂

    the song is alright. you’re gonna miss woulda been better. so over you also woulda been better. this is one of the most mediocre tracks on the album. i think ashanti is talented and deserves success but i couldnt get into the declaration. i only like the 2 tracks i mentioned above and struggle.
