destinys child

A previously unheard Destiny’s Child track titled ‘Twirk’ (recorded during the ‘Destiny’s Fulfilled’ sessions) surfaced today. Produced by Scott Storch, it is indescribably clear to see why this song was left on the cutting room floor. No…just not.

good thing they left it on the cutting room floor, why does Bee have to sing every song I didn’t even hear michele on this track at all. (selfish!)

  5. Trizzy January 6, 2010

Love the Step Into A World interpolation but as hot as it is, it just wouldn’t fit in Destiny’s Fulfilled. Survivor maybe?

  6. bambino January 6, 2010

  7. WTF – (THE ORIGINAL) January 6, 2010

I love it! Great beat. Would sound great in a club, and I’m sure there’d be some amazing remixes.

With a bit of tweeking (or Twirking lol) & remastering this could have been (could be) a hit!

Kelly Rowland owned this photo! This track is Ok. Beyonce is doing the same nasty ass yoddiling again though. Michelle facked up the song too. Kelly was too chill on the track. I see why it didn’t make the album

lol its ok – i love the other track ‘2 STEP’ now dat shyt shouldve made the album – as for the song the vocals ar sick – its so wierd how similat bey and kels sound with the falsetto – just leaves to the imagination how much of the vocals were actually sung by bey on the dc3 albums —-hmmmmmmmmm?

  17. Da Truth January 6, 2010

I like all the ladies but Michelles vocals didn’t fit the track, and the production sounds dated anyway. @LYRIC_LEE I totally thought the same thing after hearing this…….

jeez… i think ill like anything from DC3… haha

but im glad it didnt make the cut….

it kinda sounds like T-Shirt(DC3) meets Naughty Girl(Bee) meets Ghetto (Kelly)

Kelly and Beyonce both have their strengths and their weaknesses. Beyonce has always been an uninhibited singer while Kelly spent years holding back in the vocal department(that $#!* is over now);but there is no denying the quality of Kelly’s voice. She has a much better tone than Beyonce which lends well to her vocal versatility(the girl can sing any genre and sound great) and while Beyonce may be a decent “yodeler” Kelly’s falsetto crushes Beyonce’s any day. The girl just has a pretty head voice. I hope to hear her use more of it on this next album of hers.

I think part of the reason people are so brain washed,uh,I mean smitten by Beyonce is because she’s the one we’ve always heard in EXCESS. Beyonce dominated vocally on every DC album and as a solo artist she was given EVERY opportunity to shine. We saw her ALL THE TIME. We heard her ALL THE TIME and her talent and appeal was undeniable;and while Beyonce milked every opportunity(you can’t be mad at her for that), Kelly sat on the bench and passively settled for what ever left overs her label was willing to hand her because she was not yet “ready” to be that solo star(she has said this herself). By the time she was ready(The Ms.Kelly era)her label continued to shaft her, hence her decision to leave them. As I said in my earlier post,Kelly was not always as vocally daring as Beyonce but that did not mean that she didn’t have just as dynamic a voice. Kelly’s talent was always there it just needed to be tapped into and CHALLENGED. I think that is finally happening now that she’s branched out and sought new handlers(figures). Ofcourse the public would gravitate towards the one that media outlets promote and expose(even if they’re over promoted and over exposed). This however is the year in which Kelly will hopefully get EVERY OPPORTUNITY to show the world what I’ve always known she’s capable of. The least we can do is take notice.

the song is kinda blah..but the least it does is highlight kelly’s beautiful voice and the way she harmonises everything including the chorus, her voice is just so versatile but michelle..good thing she has found broadway because her voice just doesnt fit into the urban or pop market..maybe just gospel..beyonce’s voice was nice as usual but got annoying towards the end of her verse.
