See that’s what I was talking about earlier this month. There is only nine tracks on the standard edition of the album and four have leaked so I’m considering whether or not I should buy it or wait for the leak which will probably come a week or two before the offical release. I’m stuck now. I like Kelis’ music but idk now
Okay Sam you’re jumping all over Kelis for only having nine tracks, but didn’t Monica only have ten tracks on her album and you love her. We all love Sade and her Soldeir of Love album is AMAZING and it only had ten tracks. And you precious Gaga’s Fame Monster didn’t have very many tracks either. Stop being a hypocrite!
I just hope that Kelis delivers a solid album…if its nine solid tracks than ill feel like im getting my money’s worth. I’ve bought albums that have 16 and 17 tracks and over half of them suck. It’s all about the material.

I would much rather pay my hard earned money for a cd with 9 fantastic songs instead of paying for a cd with 16 songs full of filler and interludes where the only good song is the single lol. And it doesn’t make her lazy, it makes her smart because she can put it out and sell it for a little cheaper and still make profit frm it, because it still costs money to make crappy songs! Lol

8 tracks and a intro, half of which leaked. I’m not excited anymore. Infact I love Kelis but not enough to buy this atm, I’ll wait to see which edition has the most songs on. Paying 10 pounds for 8 tracks…
Back in the day it was rare that an album had more then 9 tracks, but obviously today it’s more about QUANTITY then QUALITY.

I actually read on yahoo a while ago that alot of labels may have the artists have less tracks on albums to save cost (“Universal Music Group and maybe others) so 9 tracks may become more common. As long as the 9 tracks are fire it shouldn’t be a problem. Hopefully everything will be fire because I really do want to support Kelis like I have in the past.

Hm, 8 track albums are making a big comeback lately, but as the saying goes “Less is more”, I’ve only heard “Home” and “Acapella” and they’re both amazing, I just hope we get the bonus tracks as well!!
