Usher Hits #1 With ‘OMG’

Published: Sunday 18th Apr 2010 by Sam

After being written off by many, R&B star Usher can officially be hailed ‘the comeback kid’, after his latest single ‘OMG’ rocketed to the top of the Official UK Singles Chart. The assisted track – which is currently #10 on the US chart – marks the singer’s first UK chart topper since ‘Burn’ back in 2004.

In other chart news, the eclectic Kelis scores her first UK top 10 since 2007’s ‘Lil Star’ with ‘Acapella’.

You know what’s funny is that for Usher to get a number one hit he had to convert to that “SOUND” You all know what “SOUND” i’m talking about. That electropop s***. I can deal with some but I really can’t wait til that era is over. Everyone and they mama jumping on the bandwagon.

If this is indeed true congrats Usher. I say he still needs to change his formula though. He’s bringing nothing new to the game and to stay relevant you must do this.

It’s true, everyone! By tomorrow – (Monday) – here in the United States every blog will be talking about it, here is the url to read it for yourselves.

This is for the Official UK Singles Chart – Not the US Charts.

Why does it seem like every picture I see of Usher, he looks so worn down!

Hmmm I’m very surprised the song is #10 here in the states, is that the hot 100 chart or something else? Anyways I hate this song, it’s so not your typical Usher song, it’s so not R&B : / Hey Daddy, There Goes My Baby and Lil Fresk are much stronger

  13. Renae April 19, 2010

CONGRATS! Hope he releases “GUILTY” as a single also. Love that song!

Congrats to Usher. Although I’m not feeling that particular song from him, obviously other people are.
