Christina Aguilera took her promotional campaign to ‘Regis & Kelly’ this morning. The singer performed her unsuccessful single ‘Not Myself Tonight’ from her ‘Bionic’ album which is also set miss the top of the charts. Check out Aguilera’s performance below:
Now that was a great performance! Regardless of the fact Aguilera uses the same default vocal run in almost every song, she finally decided to put in some work and stopped relying on the backtrack to handle all of the big notes. Hopefully she will continue to deliver performances like these (and start promoting a 2nd single) because her album is going to need all of the help it can get. It’s a shame that the public are overlooking ‘Bionic’ though. As noted in our review of the record, it is a solid LP.
Sidebar: Many of you might be wondering why I sometimes seem overly critical of Aguilera’s performances. Knowing that she is quite capable of singing like she did above without technical assistance should make my reasoning easily apparent. Furthermore, as Aguilera continues to arrogantly act as though she is truly the ‘voice of our generation’ I expect her to sing like it and stop dodging all of the notes. That is all.
I understand were your coming from but your making it seem like she was the one that started calling herself “The voice of our generation” it was the audience and fans who gave her that title so stop saying she’s arrogant. She human and some day shes in a better place vocaly then others but she will always have that voice!

This was definitely a hot performance, finally she makes me like the song a bit more…not much more, just a bit…I just hate all those unnecessary runs tho, it makes it kind of hard to watch and listen to. other than that, she’s great.
CHRISTINA NEVER CALLED HERSELF THE VOICE OF THE GENERATION.. during back to basics era during a interview with MTV , Jim Norris deemed her the voice, and it stuck.. she never acknowledged it.. YOU always throw shade when you don’t even know your facts… and what’s wrong with having a back track?? shes still live, every one else has it.. When you have many performances lined up every close together it’s hard to hit the notes Christina hits, so if she has a back track for ONE note, then that’s fine, the rest of the performances is still LIVE. .. Solid performance,but yea she does the same “Vision of Love” run everytime. The album is awesome. The ballads are easily the best she’s done. “S** for Breakfast”, “Lift Me Up”, “You Lost Me” and my favorite “I Am”.
I still feel that the “Bionic” track should have been the first single.

What a performance. She looked like a hot mess. You go, Girl. I love that song. This is a really great CD. It exceeded my expectations since the reviews have been underwhelming.
^The reviews have been totally bias…, I would not be surprised if some of these blogs have been receiving backhanders to slate certain artists…., as I know for a FACT that this blog receives payment to keep Kelly Rowland’s name out there (even when she had no single nor performance to actually promote). Christina just sang the hell out of that performance…, and she has really put the work in to deliver a great album. This is what needs to be shouted from the rooftops because unless more of the good solidly talented artists who take their craft seriously are promoted and praised we’ll just be left with all the s*** ones…………………………..and that even goes for Beyonce BeyDaBess, as if the day finally comes when these blogs turn on her in favour of someone newer and younger, then with Christina and Mariah and all the other acts you lot seem to want run out of town gone, there’ll actually be no-one worth buying left.

It wasn’t until after he died when they aired that interview he did years ago with Oprah that everyone found out it was Elizabeth Taylor who gave him that nickname. Kanye calls himself the voice of this generation, nobody says s***. Lady Gaga says that she’s currently working on writing the anthem for this generation, again, nobody says s***. But for some reason Christina gets all the hate when she never did anything wrong. I don’t understand why she is everyone’s favorite punching bag, maybe they can’t stand the fact that she has legit talent and is confident about it? Anyway, there are much worse artists out there who are truly overrated and cocky, go after them instead. SMH. Trent Made on behalf on Christina. First of all, I have never heared
her say she is the voice of our generation. That is a Title that Viewers,
Audience members, and Her fans gave her. And Rightfully So. Another
statement I’d like to make is to clear up the misconception he tried feeding
the narrow minded readers of these pages. Se did not utilize a backing
track during her Mtv Movie Awards performance to hit high notes. Watch it
and you’ll see. Another statement I want to make is that she her album sells
are from what I hear doing Awesome in European countries and the U.S.
The album is Epic, she’s at the top of her game again for a fourth time and
still only 29 years old. She’s BACK!
