Are Keri Hilson and Ciara preparing to collaborate? That may very well be the case as the former hinted on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio show on Monday. Hilson was discussing her new album, ‘No Boys Allowed’, and the media’s constant comparisons between her and Ciara when she broke the news. Peep what she had to say below:
Miss Keri appeared on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio show on Monday to once again address the rumored beef between her and her fellow ATlien. When asked whether any of the gossip was true, the Decatur songstress responded, “Not really, it’s nothing real—not in the real world. I know that they take anything and kind of drag it on. They made up that I was in New York when supposedly we had a fight or scuffle backstage. I wasn’t even in the city, I was in L.A.”
Despite growing up in the same region, Keri doesn’t see why people feel the need to pit them against each other. “I do honestly feel that there’s room for everybody,” she said. “We do two different things, we come from two different places musically.”
When Angie suggested a duet to silence the chatter, Keri replied, “That’s a thought,” hinting that one has been discussed. “I’ll be honest, I can’t say that we haven’t had some talks about it, little whispers about doing a song together, it just hasn’t happened. I’ve heard things from people…” {Source}

A duet from the artists would be very welcome from me, but I can’t see them on a track together , neither is vocally fantastic, and they are very similar , if it was a ballad or a mid tempo , it’ll prob sound like a poor mans brandy and monica , however I enjoy music from both artists and I would be interested in seeing a duet to see how it turns out

Well it’s not like they haven’t worked together before. Didn’t Keri write songs and lend vocals on Ciara’s “The Evolution” album. Because I believe Keri is part of “The Clutch” group. So I wouldn’t care if they did a song together.
I think their whole beef is contrived anyway… just some tension to sell some records. I am CIARA 110%, but Keri is cool also. Stop putting them against each other and put them both up.

I love both of these beautiful R&B singers and so It would be amazing if they were to record a hot duet together. Keri Hilson is so talented both as an artist and a songwriter. I first saw her in that Timbaland music video for The Way I Are which was excellent and then I bought her first album which is amazing too especially the duet between her and Kanye West and Ne-Yo too. Ciara is an incredible R&B singer and dancer too and just an all around great performer. Her delicious R&B songs and Ciaras music videos are the best. Just awesome and some of the hottest R&B music videos of any female artist. So these two talented beautiful female R&B singers would definitely have a smash hit on their hands if they ever decided to record a duet together and the R&B music video would be amazing too.

Um…I wouldn’t mind a collab from these two ladies..I just don’t see it happening. I think Keri just answered the best way she could cause I bet she felt put on the spot. Even if their were ‘talks’ of them collaborating, like Keri said, they are two completely different artist with different styles and sounds.Ciara is the better performer while Keri I think is the better singer and songwriter, she just sucks on stage. I don’t know if they would be able to compliment each other on the same track. *shrugs*

Ciara is on a different level than Keri. Sure she may not be up there with Beyonce and Rihanna at the moment because she is working her way back up, but Keri was never put in the category with these females in the first place.

Keri purposely let the whole rumored backstage fight thing go on without confirming it or denying it, which of course would lead ppl to believe it was true. Ciara denied even making contact with Keri at the event THE NEXT DAY! When Ciara gets questioned about Keri in interviews, she shoots down the rumors, makes it clear how done she is with all the nonsense, and moves on to a new subject.
Ciara is tired of her name being negatively tied to Keri’s name. Keri plays with the gossipers by dancing around the issue and letting ppl believe what they want and she knows what she’s doing. Notice which one of the two is getting the most attention from all this.

Hmmm I’m not sure this duet would work…I must admit, I more of a Ciara fan than Keri, but I’ve been liking what I’m hearing from Keri lately…Keri might be a tiny bit stronger vocally (that’s not saying much), but Ciara outshines her with dancing…Two very different styles…The only R&B/Pop duet that seemed to work well was Brandy & Monica…sometimes it’s best to stay in your own lane (or have a rapper hop on the track)…I don’t remember…but was the Whitney/Mariah song considered a hit?

This isn’t gonna happen and if it did, it would turn out to be a horrible song . Those two wouldn’t mesh well. That’s just like Janet and Jennifer Lopez doing a collaboration. Both of them are such flops. WTF said Ciara’s album went 5 times platinum? No, the first went 3 times platinum, the second sold 1.5 million, and the third didn’t even go GOLD! I don’t care for either one of these artists but if I had to pick who was better, I would say Keri only because she actually has an ok singing voice. Ciara’s voice is just all tone and a horrible, pitchy, baby tone at that.
