In an ironic moment the recently imprisoned T.I has chosen to release ‘Castle Walls’ as the 2nd official single from his upcoming ‘No Mercy’ LP. The record features Christina Aguilera and will follow the rapper’s collaboration with Chris Brown, ‘Get Back Up’, which has thus far peaked at #70 on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘No Mercy’ hits stores on December 7th.

Well, we still haven’t heard the finished track yet so who knows if it is a good single or not. Tip and X-Tina are a interestin collab no doubt but that doesn’t automatically mean he will get a hit. None of his singles thus far have performed well on the charts.
Even though ‘Get Back Up’ is a good track lyrically and has a good message, it’s not something that will appeal to mainstream. It’s nothing you can dance to and it’s just not what it popular right now. Plus I think a lot of people are just fed up with him due to all his most recent arrest and really aren’t checking for him like that this time around. I think it will do better on the r&b charts though. I hear it on the radio all the time here.

This was produced by the same guy behind Airplanes (I think a lot of people were doubting a colab between a new rapper AND an alternative artist.) and Love the Way You Lie, both of which were smash hits. This was a good pick.

As for his album, its not looking good for him. Hes relased like 6 tracks and none of them has been a big hit yet.
