Behind The Scenes: Michael Jackson’s ‘Hollywood Tonight’ Video

Published: Tuesday 22nd Feb 2011 by Sam

Somewhat overdue, the video for Michael Jackson‘s latest single ‘Hollywood Tonight’ was aptly shot in Hollywood, California last night. The Teddy Riley produced cut (first recorded in 2007) serves as the 2nd release to be lifted from the King of Pop’s first posthumous LP ‘Michael’ – which topped charts globally late last year.

Check out the footage, which sees the 60+ cast dancing up a storm, after the jump…

Cracking stuff! While many give a nod to MJ when performing, the dancers above really seemed to embody his spirit. Bring on the video!

Im glad a female is the lead. It’s nice to see female dancers in the spotlight. But everytime I hear about Michael I feel like they are milking this thing for money. I can see the video is going to be good. But things are better “left unsaid” meaning they should just leave his estate alone.

If Michael himself aint in the video, then it aint really worth watching….

This is gonna be awesome, I love that they are finally getting this song out there and promoted. Michael deserves to have his legacy known and put out there. I don’t know why anyone would want to say that people are ‘milking’ him for money..But that is not the case here at all, The estate has been keeping Michael’s will and legacy alive and they are doing the best they can with what Michael would want. I hope more music and more tribute videos follow. Don’t be dead beats people, to not support the estate is like not supporting Michael in death. And to the person who said Michael’s estate should be left alone. How can you say that about a singer you’re choosing not to support in death? I thought we were fans. Maybe some of you have lost that touch. But I choose to have Michael’s music and artistry to be shared with everybody and not collected in some dusty vault…

    Stop using my hero.
    Right now, just stop it.
Hold My Hand is the ONLY good song on that album.
I doubt Michael would aprove any of the others.
Well, maybe this one but that’s it.

    gimme chills

  19. SWB February 23, 2011

Michael Jackson wanted his stuff to live on after him and he wanted his songs on everyone’s mind and everyone singing his melodies. He did not EVER want to be ignored and NEVER forgotten.

  20. Gabiz February 23, 2011

    @ SWB

What Michael contributed in his lifetime is truly more than enough to make him unforgettable! Legends never die and his music is immortal like Mozart’s and Beethoven’s compositions. Personally, until his kids are in the executive position, over viewing their father’s work… the present estate and especially SONY won’t be seeing a cent of my money. I wish they would stop exploiting MJ with unreleased song that he did not approved of. Guess greed sees no limitation, even by so called friends of his (e.g. T.Riley and Cascio brothers, etc)
