Kelly Rowland made a guest appearance on BET’s ‘106 & Park’ this evening to debut the video for her new single, ‘Motivation (Ft. Lil Wayne)’. In an interesting interview with the show’s hosts, the songstress lightly discussed her long-awaited new album (now due in “later summer”), how ‘Motivation’ was developed and much more.

She is suffering the same effect of Ms. Kelly. Well, with an album release of late summer, you need a strong enough single to last a couple of months, Motivation is not it. It’s ok, I can see it doing number 9 on the R&B & Hip Hop Charts, but thats it. Her whole campaign really messed up last year when they didn’t release “Grown Woman” as the first single. I can’t say it enough.
I just thought of something, no wonder why her release is late summer now, because Beyonce’s project comes out in June. Damn this sucks for her, can’t never catch a break.

Wow. Late summer? Really Kelly? Damn, she couldn’t aim for a release date by late June or early July at the very least? I guess she meant by November, the album should be out. Since the summer months will be dominate with releases from high profile artists and some surprise hits from new artists, I can see Kelly pushing this album back to September or October. I’m so over this clown, her inconsistentices, and lack of confidence in her own work.
