Since the chart disaster that was ‘Sweet 7’, (what’s left of) the Sugababes have kept a relatively low profile.
Indeed Heidi, Amelle, and Jade had seemingly bowed out of the limelight, after the mass outcry which followed their ridding the group of its last founding member Keisha Buchanan.
However, amidst reports that the trio are putting the finishing touches to their new LP, the ladies made their first collective appearance in some time at the British Soap Awards in London last week. They attended the event to support Jade’s longtime boyfriend, Ricky Norwood (“Fatboy” of Eastenders fame).
The group’s new Thundercats produced single is slated to debut soon.

One has to wonder why the group, label, or management are even bothering at this point. To date, ‘Sweet 7’ has sold a dismal 25,000 copies – which in itself should serve as an indicator of current pubic interest in this farce of a line-up. I mean, even pre-Keisha-gate, sales for the ‘Babes were not the jam (see: Catfights & Spotlights). It’s like trying to fix the Titanic. It’s still going to sink.
Bring back keisha

You know i’ve been a fan of this band since the beginning but i’m sick of people painting Keisha as the victim, she is a b****… she bullied Siobhan out of the band and drove her to bullimia, she bullied heidi AND Amelle when they joined, all the line up changes (besides Mutya leaving) were down to Keisha so she got what she deserved.
While i’m not that fussed on the “Sweet 7” album the accoustic versions of the songs the girls did for live lounge and the sun etc where amazing and show that unlike most girl groups Sugababes are still the best vocalists, their harmonies are amazing.
I hope with this album they ditch the redone sound they had for S7 and go back to something more organic which is what i’ve heard they’re doing. And FYI i think it’s amazing in this day and age that a label is actually sticking with a band and putting faith n them to come back rather than dropping them at the first flop like most labels do these days, good luck to them they’re all sweet girls.
I’m the Optician that tested Amelle’s eyes :-). She’s really down to earth and a pleasure to meet. Fantastic person.

If you’re a fan then changing members in a band should matter to you since it changes the sound of the group & makes them even more manufactured to the point they sound the same as every other group. They all could be bitchy because going behind a founding group members back & replacing her is not a nice thing to do either you can call that bullying to. Heidi & amelle should have ended the group if they were so unhappy. They could have started a new group, the only reason they are caring on is because the sugababes name has more money invested then a new unknown group name. They are profiting form the sugababes name & music catalogue.

Important thing on the British Soap Awards is that brilliant actor Danny Miller (Aaron from Emmerdale) finally won Best f****** Actor!!!! YEEEESSSSSSS

I’m actually willing to give these girls another chance despite them totally blowing the Sweet 7 campaign. I know they don’t have any original members and I will be eternally pissed off that they kicked Keisha out of the group, but I figure that as long as Heidi is still there they still have at least a little bit of the sound that made them famous. 3.0 were more or less my favorite lineup so I guess its not so bad that they are willing to carry on with Jade, as long as they still release decent music. Oh, and I loved Catfights and Spotlights and the Keisha version of Sweet 7 is ace.
I love Sugababes and can’t wait for their comeback, but Amelle honey that hairstyle is OLD! Change it up for the new album campaign!

And the post talked about the BSA and then I talk about some talented actors… I don´t see the problem you have. Emmerdale is watched by 8 million viewers in the uk so yes is relevant enough. Only two other soaps and xfactor type of programs have more audience you troll

if they are talented why do they need to use a fake name like sugababes, and why are teh members black asian and caucasian not like i care, but the reason is they werent chosen by talent but they were chosen as copies, the first band had great talent… and I think personally siobhan and mutya were the best…… and if a band loses moe then the half of teh original it dies … so when mutaya left tehy should have ended….

Sweet 7 would have sold if K was still in the band. If you listen to the leaked tracks from Sweet 7 with k on them they are so much better, more up beat and well more like a Sugababes single. J A and H just cant handel the vocals by them selves, if watch any live show with them they sound awful. They could have gone global with Sweet 7 but no, A and J had to be jealous of K. and mess it all up.
