Chris Brown is to join an already impressive list of performers at this year’s BET Awards. Airing live on June 26th at 8pm EST, the annual award show will also see appearances from Alicia Keys and Trey Songz.

The performance will come one year after Brown’s emotional tribute to deceased icon Michael Jackson and no more than three years after his explosive duet with fellow performer Ciara.
Nominated for 6 awards, the ‘Beautiful People’ singer will take to the stage this year to deliver a rendition of music lifted from his latest album,‘FAME‘ which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.

Chris is a great vocalist but not as powerful as Bey (male/female= different vocal range in some cases) Chris just needs to master the art of singing and dancing at the same time (and do it well) then he wouldn’t be far off

I agree! Bey is a better perfomer than Breezy in the sense that she sings live & dances well at the same time. But Beyonce is like Usher, she has been doing this TWICE as long as Chris so she has had YEARS to perfect her craft. I remember the early days of DC when she was not on her s***! She has come a long way since she went solo. Chris has only been doing this for 6 years professionally and he is already miles ahead of his peers! I mean at 16 he was compared to Usher & MJ! That says a lot. He’s just gotten better over the years.
Even though I love Bey, a lot of times when she performs & dances at the same time, she screams instead of ‘sings’ and not even really dancing just swinging her wigs & shaking her ass! She has given sloppy ass performances before like a couple of years ago at the Grammys. when she sang a snippet of ‘You Oughta Know’ by Alanis Morsette? Chile……
On high choreographed routines I don’t mind if Chris lip-sycnhs, but he does need to work on singing & dancing at the same time. I’ve seen him do it though in his earlier performances when he was younger, so I know he can do it. But he is still a hell of a performer either way. He is always the most talked about whenever he performs!
Really, his only competition is Usher as far as male performers go. and Usher is getting up there in age. Chris is only in his early 20’s so he still has a lot to give.

I actually like Beyonce, but I can stand when people keep saying that she can sing and dance at the same time, most of her fast songs are mainly music with a couple of lyrics, so she’s able to shake her behind and swing her hair. Lets see if she can do hard Choreography and dance all over the stage and still sing. When it comes to dancing Ciara as women is better, as a entertainer Beyonce is better than Ciara. If you noitce Beyonce usually stay in one place most of the time and booty shake, I think Jlo can dance better than Beyonce. I do think Chris performances is just as equal, Chris does hard choreograpy so he lip sing and beyonce booty shake and sing because her songs allow her to sing along, single ladies for an example, Chris yeah 3x is straight singing no music pause.

All the dance moves you see her do on stage is crafted by a well paid choreographer. The perfects her songs in view of her dance moves giving room to do both at the same time. She can’t perform single ladies and go straight to crazy in love and go straight into baby boy & straight into run the world. But breezy always does this.she only does 1 or two at a time, the rest is booty shaking and hair whipping.
Chris Brown just writes his songs 1st then works on the most complex choreography to complement it which is sometimes too much. He then performs a series of fast pace songs non stop while singing=> if he he isn’t very fit, he could drop dead. Thats why Usher sometimes sounds awful when he tries to do all his fast pace songs at a go like Breezy.
Breezy honors dance battles and wins most of them. Breezy has enough personal skills seperate from normal choreography to win any dance battles. I have watched some of his battles on youtube at different counties with moves you’ve not seen b4. Breezy can dance old school too. Even many dancers nowadays are stealing his moves even in serious dance competitions. Each of his back up dancers have amazing CVs and achievements of their own.
Usher can not think to crack a move on the same stage Breezy is one. Chris Brown dance moves are intimidating to other dancers, thats why you don’t see dance off challenges from other artist like Omarion=> you should watch Ciara’s eyes why breezy does it lolz

even though i dont agree with @S***’s attitude. this is a fair point. it’s not like beyonce’s competing with 90s mariah, whitney or MJ on the charts. the albums out now arent even doing that well. thats why adele can afford to stay number 1 for many weeks.she’s been number 1 for almost 16 wks on uk album charts. am sure gaga will be at number 1 for multiple weeks too

Actually Beyonce is my best female artist of this decade, but I am a huge Chris Brown fan, and I don’t like to compare them, but Bey stans starting dragging Chris on this post, on who the better dancer and performer. I said I think they are equal. Only thing I thing Chris lacks at is he does too much dancing and doesn’t sing as much on his fast songs, but he puts on an epic show all the time, imagine if he toned down some dancing and focuse on his vocals. Beyonce puts on a epic performances most of the time, but I wouldn’t call her a excellent dancer, because she dance s*** and booty shake, but overall performances is epic. I believe Chris performances will be talked about for years more than Bey, thats my opinion, they are still talking about Chris Michael Jackson tribute is one of the greatest performances and epic, so there isn’t any comparsion between the two, they are both great entertainers and will bring something excited to the stage.

I have no idea why people overate chris like this, If you grew up with people like USHER you would understand what I mean… Chris is just like all them other street dancer’s down the road nothing special all the moves are getting boring.. Chris and Ciara are really two of the best young dancers in the game today! I wish all the bullsh** could just go by the wayside long enough to allow true performers to once again take center stage. As for CB not appearing on Billboard remember they stayed that his CD/singles fell outside the allotted cut-off date March 1, 2011. F.A.M.E. was released March 22, 2011. I “smell something foul” but okay perhaps its “legit”! He had better be nominated for several awards as well as asked to perform at the 2012 BB Awards. MTV Movie Awards were so bootleg that I’m glad he didn’t attend! I woud have had to pop a “NO DOZE” to stay awake for his performance!! 🙂

I like Rihanna. In fact I can tolerate her more now but her stans need to sit. If you claim he is such a lessor than why can’t Robyn Fenty just grab up nominations like this lessor at this flop Award Show? So when you are calling an award show and the artist out ask yourself “Is My Fave dominating this show? If not then wouldn’t that mean my fave is just a big a fail as EBT?” Hmmmm….

Not Hating on chris brown, but its going to be funny when he dissapoints everyone. and for everybody whos clowning on beyonce fyi the ratings are usually higher when shes in attendance as with the case last year! and i like chris but his fans are quick to talk about beyonces( a proven star) album being a flop. when it hasnt even came out yet and theres only two singles out right now. but they wont mention about chris last album that didnt even appear on the charts. and i dont even want to look at the numbers the album produced. so do your homework before you come into foul territory!
