Staying true to her stance of promoting her project on a global scale, Kelly Rowland sat down with Access Hollywood recently to talk about her hotly anticipated new album ‘Here I Am’.
The singer, who is currently a judge on the X Factor UK, was joined by hitmaker Tricky Stewart during the segment, which saw their pair dish on the direction of the LP, planned features (Nicki Minaj, among others), and more.

Kudos to Kelly and her team for continuing promo Stateside; for I doubt it’s a coincidence this aired the day she commenced work in the UK.
It’ll inevitably be a tough task, but as long as she puts in the air-miles and jets back during the X Factor’s many breaks (between this month and October), working the project on a global scale is entirely possible. With superstar status now within reach, she’ll have to show she has an equally epic work ethic to pull it all off and become the star she is so clearly equipped to be.

Its sort of interesting cuz you dont see as many darker-skinned female pop/urban stars out in America. So in that way, it helps her stand out amongst her peers.

This is a good look for her. She is stepping into her own very nicely!!! Now if she stays on message while she promotes her own project like she did in this interview people will begin to see her individually and not as a person that was 1/3 of Destiny’s Child. I loved that she talked about herself and not Beyonce. 2011 is about Kelly “Here I am” Rowland.

Im glad that Kelly is finally being seen as someone who is an ndividual… She has been overlooked so many times in her solo career and im glad she came harder than ever this time around… Kelly is destine for great things as long as she keeps her head straight and her “focus” on herself… I notice she gives shine to alot of other people when asked about herself and i think its because being a member of a group where people associate the whole group to one individual “Bey”, its easy to be used to steppin down and allowing others to shine… Kelly girl you got this in the bag jus kno that your success is because of your hard work… Start thanking yourself first because that motivation song is killin any R&B song ive heard this year and yes i said this year 6 months into 2011 and Motivation is s*** my get right… And that motivation came on in the club and the whole club went wild… Kelly even your R&B s*** has the club hype… Your Hott Kelly… Love you mamas

I am so happy for her right now. She is definitely getting her shine and all I gotta say is IT’S ABOUT TIME. You can tell she’s excited too. Just hearing her answer the question about whether or not she’s going to tour with this album, her enthusiasm is THERE and she’s ready to roll this one out. Can’t wait to finally get my hands on this album. Hopefully a release date will be announced soon. A mid-summer release date would work best IMO.
