At No. 3, Kanye West-protege, rapper Big Sean’s full legnth debut, ‘Finally Famous: The Album’, comes in with 87,000 sold. Disney alum, and Justin Bieber’s significant other, Selena Gomez, bows in at No. 4, Selena Gomez & the Scene sold 78,000 copies of their third album ‘When the Sun Goes Down’. Ironically, season seven American Idol winner, David Cook arrives at No. 7 with his sophomore effort ‘This Loud Morning’ (46,000), while season 10’s champion Scotty McCreery’s five-song EP ‘American Idol Season 10 Highlights’ rounds out the top ten with 40,000 sold.

Anywho, we all knew that Bey was gonna be No. 1, that was a given, but after looking at her competition (or lack there of) I can see why it was so easy for her to come in at No. 1! Her numbers are great though considering.
I feel kinda bad for Big Sean. I am not the biggest fan of his & I didn’t buy his album (I actually had barely heard of him until he worked with Chris) but I am sure he is disappointed by those numbers. He did have a hit with ‘My Last’ but other than that one song he didn’t have to much on the charts & not a lot of buzz. I do think he has a fanbase but I clearly they don’t go that hard. Hopefully as he releases more singles sales will pick up. Maybe it can go Gold. *shrugs*

JCole is dope & I am rooting for him but if he doesn’t have any support from his label I can’t see his album doing well! He doesn’t even have anything on the charts & his buzzed has died down since last year. People start to lose interest when your album gets pushed back constantly. SMH!
BeYAWNce is such a fail this era. 4 is such a let down. The songs all sound like continuations of Sasha Fierce. I must admit, the girl can sing. However, she is trying way too hard on these songs. Why is she screaming on these songs? Gosh. This is not a damn karaoke bar.
This new management is terrible. The summer is suppose to be the season for the music industry. 300, 000 is not bad by any means. It’s really good. Yet 4 is not looking like a commercial success. These singles are doing terribly. The CD will go on to do well. Of course Bey will push things further along with her grandiose performances. As a performer, she will slay. But honestly, how long can this tired act continue? With Rihanna, Adele, Britney, GaGa, and Katy killing the charts…..Beyonce is so….How can I put this? Yesterday.

I’m going to hope that everyone reads this. Everyone is making fun of and speaking negatively of other artists and it’s completely unnecessary. Beyonce has respect for both Lady GaGa and Adele. Beyonce is in a place in her career where I don’t think sales matter much to her. She has already made her place in histroy and the next generation of singers will most definitely pay history to her. However, I do not believe her “time” is over. Beyonce will continue to be a living masterpiece. 4 is one of the most unique albums I have heard. It is very refreshing as most of what is on the market to day is not from the heart and not true singing. Beyonce is a brilliant artist who will never be a flop because of talent and also because of her class and respect for her surroundings, including other artisits.
