I think they are equally versatile to the same level. The only thing my fave hasn’t tried is the Full Dance thing (solo-wise). They both have at least one or 2 songs on their album that are different.
Fading gives me the Halo tea with lots of kicking and dramatic drums behind orchestral strings, choir and pianos.
CKB gives me Disappear teas with its guitar and soft sultry sound.
Raining Men gives me the Diva/VideoPhone tea with its 808 beat and riffs and snares
Complicated kind of gives me the Scared Of Lonely tea…..
and the list goes on….Maybe Rihanna does show a little bit more versatility because of her island origin but right now they are equal IMO

Kelly doesnt have the appeal to be a successful solo artist. She is forgettable, and I think she can not sing. Her voice is annoying to me. She’s a studio singer, thats why she suck wen she perform her songs live.
