Critically acclaimed, Beyonce‘s latest LP ‘4’ has been heralded by many as her most cohesive LP to date. However, despite being released just a few months ago, the mother-in-waiting revealed that she is gearing up for a return to the studio to record its follow-up.
The 30 year old announced the news during a recent interview with Access Hollywood, in which she also talked about her VMA performance, upcoming movie with Clint Eastwood, its accompanying soundtrack, being a working mother and more.
Needless to say, Ms. Knowles won’t be slowing down till she’s 6cm dilated!
Jokes aside, it’s great to see her keep on keeping on. In her own words, neither pregnancy nor motherhood is an illness, so why should she stop?
Granted she’s achieved so much by the age of 30, greats like her idol Michael Jackson, and even Madonna, still rode high through their thirties and for significant portions of their forties – achieving some of their biggest successes in the latter parts of their storied careers. With Beyonce one of a few legitimately heading towards their territory (see: icon), there’s no reason why her career shouldn’t follow suit.

beyonce, with the exception of B’day, takes her time in making an album, so even if she starts recording now I doubt an album will be released for another year at least & I think 4 still has legs; people are just now starting to really appreciate the depth of the album after having listened to it for a second. I loved from the beginning and even I’m still finding new layers to the vocal arrangement & the production & even the order of the songs on the record. Regardless, I’m just happy that she’s going to continue to be involved in music 🙂 I hope she’s thinking of doing maybe a couple mini tours in a year (ish) as well! Can’t wait :))
