While the breezy midtempo (in all its throwback goodness) is solid, it still presents quite the conundrum: just, where is the ‘hit’ material? We’ve had a few samples of the record thus far, and yet nothing has been as instant or as likeable as ‘Be Without You’, ‘Just Fine’, ‘As I Am’, or even recent album cuts such as ‘Kitchen’ from her last studio outing ‘Stronger With Each Tear’.
We love the Queen here at That Grape Juice, hence hope the album the delivers as a collective body of work when it arrives on November 21st.

THIS SONG IS HOTT!! THIS IS REAL HIP HOP I BEEN HIP HOP SINCE 1989…I AM A MARY J BLIGE FAN..WAS NEVER THIS EXCITED ABOUT HER CD LATELY…NO MORE DRAMA DIDNT CARE 4 BUT IT WAS MARY, LOVE&LIFE @ THE TIME WHEN SHE SAID SHE WAS WORKIN WITH PUFF DADDY BAD IDEA HIS CAREER WAS OVER @ THAT TIME BUT LOVE&LIFE WAS A GOOD CD NOW THAT I PLAY IT BCK BUT I CNT WAIT 4 THIS CD
This and Mr Wrong are such SO-SO songs.. I am soooo disappointed in Mary. These sound like mixtape tracks.. they fit right in with them damn sirens and DJ tags in the background. I don’t think this is worthy of being called “My Life II”.. But really I never like the “My Life” album.. It is just an industry and fan favorite.. but I MUCH prefer her debut and “Share My World” .. I consider myself a fan, I think she’s one of the Queens. But these songs are wack and even her vocals aren’t goin in.. girl, give me an off-key yell or SOMETHING.
A lot better than Mr. Wrong, but Mary has Rihanna releasing on the same day, no way she can keep the top spot!
She needs to do better than this IMO.
Still love Mary though.

Mary J. Blige will always sell atleast 300K first week. She has a strong fanbase. It doesn’t matter whether or not she has hit singles. She will always sell.
@Yoosoloose Rihanna Biggest first week sales are 200k So I don’t think she big competition but things could change

Mary got that fiyah and honetly Mary is know to sell 730 thousand and 691 thousand and even 330,000 thousand I dont think Rihanna can even come close to Mary lowest first week sales
