Now, BET has given the song bird more reason to look forward to the coming months.
For they are to honor her for her contributions to Black music and culture at the fourth annual BET Honors Award Ceremony.

Set to receive the ‘Entertainer’ award at the event, she follows in the footsteps of Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx who picked up the same award in 2008 and 2011 respectively.

The fact that Alicia and Jamie got it before her is evidence to the foolishness of BET, MTV, VH1 and similar entities in the industry. She has disappointed me with her lack of live abilities and her dumbed down music as of late; that is why I say she rarely receives these honors is because she has tormented her own legacy.
