Oritse Williams : “My Painful Past Motivated Me To Form JLS”

Published: Saturday 3rd Dec 2011 by David

As the mastermind behind Pop quartet JLS, Oritse Williams has successfully built up what can only be described as a ‘cookie cutter clean‘ image in the British media.

Often finding himself in the shadows of some of the band’s more outgoing members, there are many- despite the notoriety the group has enjoyed since competing on the X Factor UK– who still know very little about he or his past.

Now,he has spoken openly about his impossibly difficult childhood in support of the band’s ‘Eyes Wide Shut‘ DVD.

His moving story below…

All criticism aside, it is a shame JLS have allowed themselves to become a ‘cliche of a boy band‘, when there is nothing cliche or manufactured about their conception.

For, listening to Oritse’s story was inspirational to say the least and is sure to help many see he and the group in a whole new light.

Let’s just the future sees the group release material just as heartfelt as this was.

From UFO to JLS the up-rise has been dramatic but the good thing about them when they entered x-factor they had a look and style (colour scheme).
Also been together long enough to have full unity.

The sacrifice was there original more urban sound but in a industry of pop sounds they had to listen to the label who gave them a chance after x-factor.

Hopefully with more albums the root sound with be added, but in the UK pop records dominate more.
It’ll be nice for them to give the R&B genre some shine as it needs a boost from UK acts.

Good on him tho for that grind and hustle to forming a group

Yeah, ok, everyone has a sob story.Their fans definetely appreciated the fact that he shared his story with them, though.Anyway, I agree that JLS should do more r’n’b’.They can easily represent the genre in the UK if they want to, like Encore, who are less popular, though.

P.S: “All criticism aside” CANNOT BE A PARAGRAPH!!It’s not even a motherfucking sentence, how can it be a paragraph??SMH..Not that the other 3 paragraphs are any better, but at least there is a damn verb in the other ones 😮
