As earlier reported, ex-Destiny’s Child singer LaTavia Roberson is breaking her silence.
It’s been 12 years since Roberson and LeToya Luckett were sensationally ousted from the Multi-Platinum outfit. And it’s been just as long since she’s publicly talked about the situation – in detail.
That all changed when the 30 year old spoke to our friends over at Kempire Radio.
The candid chat saw no topic off-limits. Indeed, addressed were her true thoughts on the band’s former manager Mathew Knowles, her current relationship with Beyonce, her personal demons, what she’s been up to since the break-up, and much much more.
Not just an insightful listen. It’s an essential listen!
Kudos to LaTavia for telling “her truth”, while keeping it respectful and classy. Here’s hoping her foray back into the public eye sees her garner success on her own accord. She, so clearly, deserves it.

LeToya was kicked out too but she has sold more albums then Kelly Rowland. You can’t keep riding this whole Matthew kicked me out of the group get over yourself. Everybody else has.

I never thought her voice was the best, but I hope she finds her destiny…no pun intended.

Letoya has had albums, movies, a boutique, she’s been at awards, radio interviews, and she was in the same position as Latavia. Latavia can tell her story, but she really needs to move on.

I’m with @BeyFan this is just a recap of everything that was said earlier about the dismantling of the group. People seem to think the more Latavia recounts the past the more likely it is for something new (and negative) to be revealed.
I don’t think Latavia was even suppose to single lead within the group she created with Letoya(Angel). There’s no story here!

Who cares have the title “formely original member of dc”….go on dancing w/ the stars..sell your book….write for other artist….sell a book on girl groups…open an artist develop company or production company…manage talent…brand yourself..get into acting even if its sag ultra low budget films….sing on other people tracks….co host a show, sell a purfume, open a store or fast food resturants, use your knowledge of being in one of the biggest groups, get on a reality show, commercial, endorsments like something for natural hair girls since you have curly hair, be the face of a black hair product…c’mon girl u got this

I think all the Hate and animosity people have for anyone ever in Destinys child including the Manager Matthew needs to dismantle and let go becasue they were a fantastic group and God blessed them with the ability to come together break up move on come together and find happiness not only for themselves but for eachother. Latavia im glad Kempire Radio released the whole interview because its very insightful and not only did she discuss the others but I got to hear what was going on with her and what took her so long. Also how she apoligizes to her fans for waiting so long to come back out is beautiful and she didnt have to say that but she did and may God BLESS her with all that she does.
i am assuming she wants to reinvent herself i forgot all about her until she was on rhoa crying to phedra cause she got arrested for a dui and blamed it on matthew. She needs to let it go and move. Look at what Letoya did, she should stayed with her. hopefully she made a name for herself finally.
as far as letoya/kelly they both literally sold the same. Both had a platinum album as a solo artist. kelly has three album compared to letoya two. then they both had an album that didnt sell as well but at the end of the day they both good artist and deserve the best.

Do you have the exact contract and settlement in which Beyonce and Kelly so called “violated”… I want the specific terms in question highlighted and bookmarked and on my desk in 24 hours. Until you do that, you dont know what youre talking about.
And second, LaTavia and LeToya’s names werent used. Theres NO specifity concerning any particular person or situation within the song, if you actually listen to it. The lyrics are general statements to the general masses of haters. If it were anything subliminal, NO ONE would know expect for Bey & Kelly…not even LaTavia or LeToya, but the song doesnt reveal anything specific that might allude to any kind of deframation of someone’s character.
