New Song: Alexandra Burke – ‘Let It Go’

Published: Friday 13th Apr 2012 by Sam

It’s here!

Pop diva Alexandra Burke premiered her latest single ‘Let It Go’ moments ago on KISS radio.

And, as ever, we have the good-good…first.

So what are you waiting for? Take a listen to the ‘Elephant’ follow-up after the jump!

Yes, yes, and yes!

Boasting an infectious hook and ample melody, ‘Go’ does what every budding hit must – sticks and stick hard. Less “busy” than its equally-fierce predecessor, the track seems catered to radio. And, if there’s any justice in the world, should be eaten up accordingly. Summer anthem, anyone?

  19. antertain April 13, 2012

I love the SANGING side of Alexandra but this it a really good pop/dance record.

This is the way she gotta brand herself as an al-rounder and she serves up all differnent types of songs.

  23. ♛ POP Royalty ♛ ( where have Rude Boy been) April 13, 2012

it is great , but sounds like every song in clubs and radios , she need a big-production Music video to have an impact and come off as a special single.

this reminds of “kelly rowland’s” forever and day for a strange reason !! 🙄

4/5 !!! looks like the album gonna be great.

  24. Daniel April 13, 2012

HELL YES!! WHAT A GREAT FOLLOW-UP! This song better blow up! Yes, it is a tad generic, but IT’S OH SO GOOD! Alexandra is great in this genre, but hope the album has a mixture of dance/urban/pop etc, which it should!
    LET IT GO = SMASH!

  25. faith April 13, 2012

  28. KAT DELUNA FAN April 13, 2012

I feel like being in a time machine.Kat Deluna has done this years ago.
She may not be a best seller but all those b****** are her sons.Copycats and followers

  29. shayshay April 13, 2012

@kat deluna fan – babe, this sound isnt’t Kats, its a 90s sound. 90s dance music ala soul 2 soul, im sure Kat to tool inspiration from that era as alexandra did.

ive been left a lil dissappointed with alexandras offerings in general even though shes had some gd/decent tunes here n there.

LET IT GO has SLAYYYYYED me!!!! i still want an rnb sound from her but if ur gonna do dance then do i a good job of it fam trussssss me she deffo has done that. IM SLAYED. *refixes weave*

  30. RIHANNANAVY CAPTAIN April 13, 2012

I like this song, but why doesn’t finally record R&B music and release them as singles?

I cannot wait for this techno-pop, Euro-trash dance music becomes a thing of the past so that REAL music and REAL talented singers can come back to the forefront.

I guess Rihanna will be our only saving grace.

  31. susus April 13, 2012

hope this comes to the US

  32. susus April 13, 2012

Seriously, when’s this girl gonna come to the States?

  38. Fleur April 13, 2012

I love “Let It Go,” too.
    Great job Alex.

  39. KAT DELUNA FAN April 13, 2012

Girl those RedOne rejects the pop girls are getting are nothing more than that :rejetcts.

Dont come with the Lady Gaga statement :”Oh this is a 90’s track inspired by whitney s***..’This clearly what Kat has done during the past 4 years

  40. Gaz April 13, 2012

    LOVE THE BURKATRON…SHE BRING IT!!

  41. Dev April 13, 2012

This is some good generic music. I couldn’t stand elephant but there is something uplifting about this with a summer vibe. I like how shes showing a different tone to her voice.
I could also hear Chris Brown singing this… or Usher maybe she’ll get a duet

  42. theone April 13, 2012

must say I love this! but it has to be noted that Alexandra is capable of alot more

Only, the market and industry that she is competing in doesn’t really support black female singers, she’s done so well

  43. Saetana April 14, 2012

    @KAT DELUNA FAN

Gaga wrote Born This Way herself and Redone was not the producer – it was Garibay and DJ White Shadow listed as producers, I just double-checked. Redone did feature on her latest album but nowhere near as much as her debut, which I am glad to see as his songs are rather generic (Just Dance anyone?). For anyone who is in doubt, Gaga writes all her own lyrics and melodies but gives credit to her producers as well, she has been writing songs and music since she was a child. This is okay from Alexandra, it didn’t really grab me at first (generic) but I think it will grow on me. Oddly enough, I actually prefer Elephant, didn’t like it at first but it got to me after hearing it a few times. This new song really doesn’t show off her fantastic vocals all that well IMO ;o)
